Think twice about this location
While the hotel it is adequate, there were numerous homeless people in area around the hotel. Our room was clean but the air smelled stale and the complimentary breakfast was the worst we’ve ever seen in a Comfort Inn. We frequently stay in Comfort Inns in other locations but will not stay in this one the next time we are in Salem.

Great for the $$
It was a nice clean and well lit facility. The staff was friendly. We felt very taken care of considering the cost of the hotel.

Shabby and dirty
Staff is surprisingly good which is the only bright spot. The whole place is dirty, door deadbolt didn’t work, breakfast was meh, and bed was uncomfortable.

Needs some TLC for sure…
Hi gang, Staying along the Comfort Inn lines I booked a 3 night stay. The room was nice, shower curtain looked flimsy but hot water was a welcome. Breakfast was a basic, nothing special, run-of-the-mill hotel breakfast. Limited items. They served the same offerings 2 days in a row, so by the 3rd day I sought McRelief. Grounds around the parking lot were drought with dead weeds, complete lack of attention on the “welcome here” aspect. Bag O Crab restaurant next door, something different. Hotel was quiet, staff friendly and that was it. I won’t be back due to the condition of the front street areas and the littered parking lot. Rich

Not reliable and certainly not helpful
I booked this hotel for myself and my family. My aunt is handicapped and so in February we reserved handicap room for March to stay for a funeral. When we arrived to check in, I was told that the room was not available, and the person at the desk was very unsympathetic and unhelpful. I was told someone had called me and left a message saying the room was not available. However no one had reached out to me and then the guy challenged me that I must have received it because it was stated in the computer. That’s how he left me with no other choices. Thank goodness best western plus right just down the street was very, very helpful and accommodating. Having a family member that’s handicapped creates enough challenges without being treated so poorly by Comfort Inn and suites in Salem Oregon
