Totally Refurbished And A Great Place To Stay
This hotel was totally refurbished around January 2025. Almost everything is new. The rooms have a big TV, a good size refrigerator, a microwave, coffee maker, and even the room itself is pretty large compared to the size of rooms at many newly built motels. There are night stands on both sides of the bed which many hotels lack, and the lamps on each side of the bed have 2 AC outlets each. We were driving from the San Francisco Bay Area to Portland, Washington, and we often do an overnight stay in this area half way through our trip. Anytime we do this trip in the future, this is going to be where we stay midtrip. It is easy on/off from the I-5 freeway with plenty of free parking. There is a driveway right up to the front door to make loading / unloading real easy. There is a comfy lobby with seating and a faux fireplace. They have a breakfast area with free hot breakfast in the morning. As others have mentioned, it is just a few miles from Downtown Ashland and all the tourist attractions of the area. It was also one of the least cost hotels in the region when we stayed.

Very kind and accommodating
We really appreciated the front desk staff. We were arriving very late and they called to check on us and held the room. Then knowing we were in town to see family members in hospice they were very accommodating in giving us a late check out and even extended it a bit more. The afternoon staff member was also very kind to our little niece who was entertaining him a bit.

Great choice in great location
Great location just off the highway (easy to find after a long drive) and only 5 minutes from downtown Ashland, and 20 minutes to Jacksonville. The staff were standout, very friendly and accommodating, and helpful in recommendations. This is a road travelers hotel ... room was good standard faire, clean, good beds, shower pressure ok, plenty of room, TV w all channels/streaming. Breakfast included was good and included eggs and bacon/sausage... lots of other variety. Pool was closed for restoration but looked a decent size. Two stories, no elevator (JFYI). Price/value good. We'd recommend it!

Always a good place to stop over.
I had a very lovely overnight stay with my dog. I've been here many times before, but it had been awhile. The front desk clerk was a gem, so nice and kind. I had a first floor room, which was convenient for taking my dog out a back door when she needed to go out. It was 107 degrees outside, so being able to exit right onto the grass was nice. The room was clean and comfortable. It was quiet at night. The breakfast room is nicely set up, but the choices were pretty basic. It used to be that at Comfort Inn, there was a better selection. Not anymore. The pool was closed when I was there due to a roof cave in. Glad they are keeping people safe. I really like staying at this hotel.

Excellent outcome
We showed up with little notice with our 94 year old Dad in a wheelchair, unable to walk. Jordan was super helpful giving us several ground-floor choices for rooms and offering additional beds, etc. We ended up in a suite where we were also able to cook dinner. Everything worked out great thanks to Jordan!
