Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in one of the cabins at Cold Springs Resort. The cabin was cozy, warm and comfortable. I love that we were able to bring our dog - he enjoyed running on the grass in front of the cabins. We enjoyed a campfire in the fire ring in front of the cabin and made s'mores. It was so peaceful and restful. We'll definitely be back!
Took our trailer and visited the cabin/rv resort over Labor Day weekend. Sites had electric, water and sewer hook up with a stone lined pit fire ring. We actually brought our own gas portable fire place and sat on the grass each night and enjoyed the stars. Easy check in and out. Limited number of RV spots so book early. One restroom with walk in shower. Sites are spacious and not too close to other RV’rs. We also brought our paddle boards and kayaks to visit local lakes that are only 15 min drive. Looking forward to coming back!
My Happy Place
What a fabulous opportunity to spend days just steps from the Metolius. The cabin/campsite area is really well maintained, while keeping its natural rustic beauty. There is a cool firepit right in front of each cabin, and all cabins had wonderful porches overlooking a stretch of grass with pine trees and looking right down to the river. We are flyfishers, so it was really neat to gear up at the cabin and get onto the river for fishing. The river near the cabins is quite shallow, so very kid friendly (warning: cold!) we were able to bring our dog in the Juniper cabin, which sealed the decision to stay there. Wayne was our amazingly great host who checked us in. There’s a great mexican restaurant within walking distance (blueberry margaritas, if you can get one). I cannot recommend Cold Sorings Resort highly enough. So relaxing.
A lovely setting among the pines.
This was our third time staying here in a camping rig. The setting among the pines and along the beautiful Metolius River is delightful. It's quite, family friendly, and a lovely place to kick back and enjoy the awesome beautify of God's Creation. One small criticism which, for some may be neither here nor there. The site offers "free wifi" and also "premier wifi" for $20 / day. The "free wifi" is pretty much a joke. It "is" there -- so it is not false advertising -- but the chance of actually logging on to the free wifi is a shot in the dark. We stayed for 3 days and had one day in which the wifi wasn't too bad -- but come the weekend -- forget it! I guess a batting average of 333 isn't too bad, but if one really needs the wifi for any reason don't count on the "free" service to do one much good. Other than that, no complaints. The sites are nice, the staff friendly, and the setting is wonderful. If one goes to Cold Springs Resort and RV Park to get away from the hectic and technological world, then one will not be disappointed.
Great Mountain Cabins Right Next to the River
These are great mountain cabins right next to a very pretty river. Their small but the view is amazing. The owners are very friendly and make you feel welcome. Wild Life stroll by on a regular basis. If you can get a cabin, reserve it.
