    Not service dog friendly

This hotel has shady business practices that border on being illegal which resulted in an unfair $100 charge. I’ll explain below. First and foremost let me say this hotel is NOT service dog friendly, which by the way is illegal by STATE and FEDERAL law. This was not apparent when I checked in other than them not being pet friendly. After my stay the hotel manager/front desk man called me to tell me they “caught” me bringing my “pet” into the room on Their CCTV footage and there was hair all over the room and they will be charging me $100. So let me break this down— 1. “Caught” I don’t have to notify the hotel I have a service animal although I am obligated to answer questions about my service animal if asked. 2. “Pet” not a pet… service animal. There is a big difference. For those who don’t know a quick google search will inform. 3. “Hair”. Before even being able to defend myself the manager accused my animal of leaving hair all over the room. Big red flag for this being a money grab situation. My dog is not a shedder and more importantly slept in the same spot all night from 10pm-4am when we left. This was all via voicemail. When I called to clarify my animals status the manager claimed I was required to fill out a form and the charge still stands. This is just not true. Going further he then said I signed paperwork acknowledging I had no animals. Also not true. I signed a credit card reader that simply red “ you acknowledge this hotel is not pet friendly” which doesn’t apply to my animal as again… not a pet… they are a worker who has been through extensive training. Regardless, at this point I offered to show proof by sending him my service letter for my dog (which I’m also not obligated to do by law but I wanted to expedite the situation). He fell back on “the form” I never filled out. So I dig deeper on their website and found that they actually advertise themselves as a not being service dog friendly. Their words aka a lie and again ILLEGAL. If you advertise yourself as not being service dog friendly why do you have a form for service dogs??? Because they know they can’t do that. Anyways, they are refusing to refund my charge so all service dog owners beware. I know it’s not fair and wrong of them to swindle people out of not having service animals with them but it’s honestly just not worth it. Stay somewhere service dog friendly (which literally by law is supposed be all places. Now I will remain fair in my review and comment on the facilities. Parking was easy, the room was clean, overall the night was quiet. The AC units are very old and loud when they turn on and Wi-Fi is slow but overall comfortable in terms of sleep. Debating whether or not reporting them to the BBB. My advice to the owners— remove the wording from your website and third party ads that says “not service dog friendly”. For hotels available to the public that is not a thing.

    Old but decent

This motel is located in the old, sketchy downtown area. There were some upgrades inside the room, but the bathroom was tiny. The wall AC unit was noisy and ran constantly when on. The room had one hard chair, a microwave, and a large mini-fridge with freezer. The bed was comfortable. The room and bathroom were both well lit. There was not much counter space in the bathroom, and the washcloth was like sandpaper. The shower head was good. No breakfast was offered.

    Excellent location in downtown Medford

Stayed here for one night to take a break from driving down to California from Seattle. The motel is pretty basic, but comfortable. Price was reasonable. Looks like the room has been recently renovated. Everything was clean, which I really appreciate. The room had a musty smell coming from the air conditioner. Like maybe some of the internal components were getting moldy. Someone had put an air freshener on the vent, but it didn't help very much. It didn't bother me much since I was only there for a few hours, but probably something that needs to be addressed. The location is excellent. Right in downtown Medford. A great little brew pub within walking distance. A really good breakfast restaurant next door.

    Adequate

This motel is clean and quiet and the staff was very friendly. Our room was very comfortable and the king bed was great. It’s in the middle of downtown Medford which is quite peaceful. There are several great dining spots in walking distance and no shortage of coffee. When we checked out at around 9:00 A.M. on a Wednesday the streets were nearly vacant. Very pleasant stay and I would stay here again.

    Great value and location

I stayed at this motel on the way up to Washington. The family the runs City Center Motel was super nice and helpful. It's an old motel, but they've definitely updated. The bathroom was beautiful. The bed was super comfy. They had a continental breakfast, that offered yogurt and fresh fruit. OMG, it was so nice not to see stale donuts or danishes. I'll be back.
