Way Way Way over priced

I booked this motel on line as on overnight stay on my way to Idaho. The pricing was a little high but I thought I would give it a try. What a mistake! Although the room was clean that is where the good things end. The exterior of the facility is old and run down, it is not inviting in the least bit, horrible curb appeal. There were only 2 lights in the large room, an overhead light and a lamp. There was a full size fridge in the room with a handle broken off. The bathroom door rubbed the door jamb and made it difficult to open and close. It stuck so badly that the skin of the door was coming off. The light fixture in the bathroom had four bulbs but only 3 were working. So I tightened the one that was out and it lit up. Shortly after that it started strobing, so instead of replacing the bulb they just loosened it. I was road weary when I checked in and didn't have the will to go someplace else. I should have.

Don't go there.

The Chalet Motel is a 1950's era motel that has been randomly updated (and not), and not all that well cleaned and taken care of. Some of the updates were nice, but overall the property was not well-maintained or particularly clean. They charged more than a Motel 6, but expect less.

would not recommend!

I guess you get what you pay for with this place. The hotel room was tidy when we walked in but had the bare minimum. The shower leaked loudly constantly, so we tried to shut the door so we didn't hear it through out the night. I have a cervical spine pillow I bring with me everywhere from a neck injury I'm dealing with. I realized when I checked out I left it, and immediately called to offer a prepaid box so they could send it to me. The owner said he would call the cleaning lady to find out where she put it. The beds only came with two decorative pillows so it is not hard to find an all white pillow left on the bed. He had me call back the next day. When I called again he said the cleaning person did not see anything. I was shocked, considering I only brought two things into the motel with me. I brought my toiletries bag, and my pillow, and only left that morning with my bag. I asked nicely if he could double check with this cleaning person because I know where it was left. He had me call again the next day only to inform me he can no longer ask her because she has left work due to having covid. Its such a bummer when the owner of the place does not care at all that employees took something that is medically needed for an injury. WOULD NOT recommend this place!!!!

Another Gem In Bend

This was during COVID-19. I really liked my room. Two queen beds but it's only me. The placement of furniture is prefect. Plenty of room. The entertainment area/kitchen in the corner superb. A little 2 person table/dinette is in a sweet spot. A lot of room with a remote control AC/Heat unit. A full tub/shower and nice sized bathroom. Some remodeling has been done, especially in the bathroom. They could pull the carpet out of the main sleeping area and replace with wood or similar flooring. Fridge/freezer combo (newer), micro, coffee maker and flat screen TV. This room (#5) is plenty for 4 or more and/if you have a toddler or 2. Guest check-in was quick. Friendly staff. Prefect spot for many of Bend's offerings. Close to everything.

Good for a motorcycle overnighter

I received a spacious room with three beds, comfy chair, table and two chairs, full size fridge and microwave oven. There was no dresser or closet to hang/store clothing. An updated bathroom, nicely tiled. Coffee maker with full size china coffee mugs and real glass made glasses. The carpet needs steam-cleaning .... walking barefoot gets you black soles. I had a quiet night, No breakfast. Overall - not too bad for the price paid.
