Loved it!
We just spent our honeymoon here. We honestly loved it. We came in off season and during the weekdays so it was pretty quiet. The staff were very nice and accommodating. Food was great and we loved how cozy the rooms were. It’s very close to Ashland where we went antiquing, visited wineries, went to Shakespeare plays and explored downtown. Great location and wonderful place to stay. We definitely plan on visiting again.

Perfect, mountain retreat
Lovely, mountain themed room. Great bar apps too. Bartender, Shaun, was a wealth of knowledge about the area. We experienced a gorgeous, brief, warm summer shower with hail and a double rainbow. They have a nice continental breakfast. Staff at check-in and out were kind and friendly. The bed was a bit squishy so not the most comfy. Had the been better rating would easily be a 5 for us

Gorgeous setting, charming rooms, great breakfast
We needed a place to stay near Ashland for one night. We couldn’t make it to the Ashland Motel by their 10pm check-in time. Other choices in the $90-130 range sounded and/or looked abysmal. Then Callahan’s popped up. I’ve driven past it about 100 times in my journeys between the San Francisco Bay Area and Ashland, but never stayed. I reserved a no-view, basic two-queen room & called ahead to make sure we could check in past 11pm. The front desk was very pleasant and accommodating. Check-in was quick and easy. We moved our suitcases to room 19 and were exclaiming how inviting and adorable it is (no worn-out easy chairs here! Just comfy brown ones), when the front desk called & asked if the toilet was flushing ok. We checked… and it was not. We got upgraded to a suite upstairs! (There is an elevator). K bed, spa tub, view, and even a deck (shared with one other room, I think?). The entry has a mini kitchen with Keurig, micro, not-small fridge (the other room had them too), plus a couch, two more easy chairs, and an additional tv! My son tried out the spa tub while I hung out in the suite to give him privacy. Breakfast exceeded our expectations. Warm eggs & fried potatoes, make-it yourself waffles, hot coffee with 3 kinds of flavored creamers, 2 kinds of cereal & milk, plain yogurt, a tasty looking strawberry topping, muffins, bread and toaster, and banana bread + a nice frittata in the refrigerator. Oh! And two kinds of juice. Plus a very nice dog to pet (one of the guest’s). The coffee was good enough to drink black. 👍🏻 Check out is 11am, but extending for 1 hour is free! Extending my thanks to Mark C for clear & even-handed responses to the previous negative reviews. Give ‘em a chance! We’re sure happy we did.

HORRIBLE
Horrible food, drinks and service! No hot water, for jetted tub ! no firewood unless you bought, for your already paid suite with fireplace. Breakfast for 3 days had no eggs , no syrup, juice or milk. Filthy big shedding doge in dinning room. Loud barking dogs 24/7 pooped on our shared suite patio . We’re locals and been going for many years. It’s so so sad how it’s being ran…. Or not ran.
