Friendly staff, clean room and freshly made breakfast.
We enjoyed our stay here and will stay here again next time! The staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was clean and the breakfast was made with fresh ingredients with a large variety of different foods each day.
Overpriced for the Quality
Stay here only if you're in a pinch or maybe on a work trip. As a tourist, this kind of motel would make you apprehensive about what lies ahead in an unfamiliar state (Oregon). The price for one night (> 180.00) and for the room quality didn't match. I'll never get the strong mildew smell of the room out of my nose. Super musty. Near our room on the corner, there were people parked in a car for hours in the early a.m. with the lights off (in an alley) so I had my husband go with me to get my luggage. Receptionist was nice only after learning we were tourists (then she was pretty fun, which was great). I actually felt better that there was a sheriffs vehicle across the parking lot from us for the night because of the motel location and poor lighting. The t.v. screen was gross (had spatters). Suggestion would be to rebuild this well known chain motel in another area and update it to this century.
Great little out of the way gem that reflects the values that make a great place to stay over. Great welcoming team that are able to help resolve travel issues, make recommendations, and help to make you feel at home. Sherry, the front desk attendant, is helpful and friendly. After driving 12 hours over snowy roads, we were exhausted. The breakfast was very good, as well as the Boyd's coffee (always a plus), and cookies on arrival. In a day when other hotel chains are cutting back, this Best Western still offers their "Best". I was pleasantly surprised..
General Manager (Shirley Rose) out of control
I arrived at 8:13 in the evening two nights ago (2/11/2023). All the lobby lights were off and no one was at the front desk. As the lobby lights were off, I proceeded to the night check-in window where there was a bell that read something like "nighttime service." I rang the bell and after about 30 seconds heard yelling from inside the lobby. Through the glass I could see a heavy set woman wildly gesturing for me to go to the lobby door. I opened the door, and instead of hearing "good evening sir, how can I help you?" This woman began yelling at me asking me why I would walk past the door and use the bell instead of trying the door first. I told her that all the lights were off in the lobby and no one was at the desk. She then stated that she was watching me on video the entire time and that I "walked right past the door without even trying it!" I asked her if this was the way that she treated all customers. Rather than apologizing, she said "are you staying with us or what?" I asked her who the manager was and she said, "I am the manager." I then asked her who SHE reports to. She said that the owners live in California. I then told her that I was going to need their contact information. Conveniently, she only had their names, but no phone numbers. Whe provided me with an email address, which I'm certain goes directly to her. We pretty much exclusively stay at Best Western when we travel. I've never encountered such a person in all my traveling. I the owners, Subhash and Jatin Patel, need to be aware of how their establishment is being managed. Needless to say, I found accommodations elsewhere. I encourage you to do the same.
Clean and Comfortable
We stayed here on a stopover between Lake Tahoe and Bend. The free cookies in the office were nice. The room was clean and comfortable. We hiked the Noni’s trail at the edge of town. Nice views. Would stay here again if in Lakeview.
