An average BW property

If you are an avid hunter you will be impressed with the lobby’s collection of game animals mounted on the wall. If offended by soulful eyes don’t look up. Automatically opened entry door was clearly in need of repairs and the entry way was cluttered with tree dropping, all of which set the tone for spending the night in a room on the street side which was very noisy. Breakfast was very good if you got there before the locusts. This BW typifies the problem with inconsistent stays between properties. Some are outstanding and others need corporate involvement. The price point was excellent and the staff seemed welcoming.

Homeless and horrible internet

The homeless are ever present. Once the hotel fills up you can forget about stable internet. This place used to serve evening snack which would be dinner for me. This was my go-to hotel but in the last few years it’s been run down a bit and the homeless population in KF has really exploded. KF itself has really run down quite a bit in past years too. Not sure a nice, safe, clean part exists anymore.

Comfortable stay with good customer service and excellent hot breakfast

My positive experience started before I even arrived when the staff called me about multiple bookings that were a mistake in Best Western's national online system. They fixed everything and prevented extra charges. I requested a quiet room and they accommodated me with a space in the back away from street noise. My room was clean and comfortable for two nights in the 20s. The hot breakfast was great for vegetarians with options for eggs, potatoes, pancakes, and oatmeal. The lobby/dining area was comfortable. The fitness room had a wide selection of machines and weights. One thing to note so you're not surprised as I was--the walls in the lobby are covered in multiple mounts of dead wildlife. Particularly disturbing were the stuffed predators--wolf, bear, mountain lion. But I don't fault the staff for the manager's creepy display.

Extremely well equipped

The rooms are very well equipped with any amenity you would want. Very comfortable seating and beds. The breakfast they provide is outstanding. Best I have ever seen at a hotel. I was impressed with the Wi-Fi; it was very easy to get logged on and surprisingly fast for a system that likely had a lot of traffic.
