Poor costumer service
We had checked in on Saturday night, when we got to our room and started to settle in and try to sleep, we kept on hearing these super loud cracking noises coming from the building,it was so loud it kept making us flinch. my husband was the one who started to worry about these noises. They were coming from the floors, ceilings, side of the walls. It sounded like the building wasnt being held up well enough and my husband said that those noises were the sound of nails slowly coming apart. When we went to the front desk to express our concerns, the young lady interupted us twice and didnt care or seem to want to listen. Her response was "We have ear plugs and yeah the building makes noises". I am from Brookings and have lived there almost my whole life. I am aware of the weather and buildings making "noises" on the coast. This definitley wasn't from the weather or a building making random noises. It for sure sounds like something that needs to be checked out, that is a safety issue. Definitely should better train your staff on how to handle guest issues and to have better costumer service. Really left a bad taste in our mouths when we left. We are very mellow and relaxed people and are not bothered by things easily but this was something that could have been handled better by the staff and she had an opportunity to fix things or offer to make things better but there was absolutely no effort at all. Along with that we did not get a refund. Will not stay here again and would not recommend anyone to stay here with the poor customer service.
Amazing View and Great Room
My partner and I stayed the first weekend of November. The ocean view was great and watching the sunset from the balcony was memorable. The room setup was big enough to bring 2 kids with 2 pullout couches and have a private room for adults, full kitchen, two bathrooms, and a two person jetted tub. They have pet and non-pet rooms and there is no limit on pet size. $10 for large dogs. It was great seeing so many big dogs enjoying the beach: Great Danes, Shepherds, labs, boxers, etc. Wouldn’t necessarily go barefoot on the beach ;-) but a great location to visit the Redwoods, Oregon Caves, and beach combing up the Oregon coast. This was the best hotel location that we saw in town and the staff went above and beyond. We will be back! Highly recommend it!!
Great hotel with exceptional views and on the beach.
This hotel is right on the beach, with incredible views. The rooms are neat, clean and nicely decorated and furnished. The people at the front desk were exceptionally nice and helpful; Sonia, and Monica, made our stay extremely enjoyable. They are truly wonderful people. There is a nice breakfast provided every morning, with soup and snacks in the afternoon. There is a nice pool, and the beach is right there. I highly recommend this hotel.
We did not have big expectations of a place, but it looked good on the pics. Well, I heard the ocean during whole night-great, isn’t it? the property seems to be recently renovated and was in a very good condition. some minor maintenance is needed, but it is not visible. breakfast was fine.
Wonderful place to stay!
We were optimistic when we arrived at the property as it is oceanfront and looked well cared for. Then we were ecstatic when we saw our room. Beautifully redone pet friendly room with tile floors. Felt so clean when we walked in with a stunning view I told my husband I wasn't leaving! (We were there for a one night stay on a roadtrip from northern Oregon Coast to Walnut Creek, CA). Front desk gals were friendly, they had clam chowder and fudge out for the taking and parking was abundant. Not sure when we will be able to return but would love to and may have to change travel plans just so we can visit this place again!
