This is a moderately-sized hotel located on the beach. It is slightly worn and in need of repair. Some work on the roof was in progress when we were there. The building with the oceanfront views did not have an elevator. We had to haul suitcases up to the third floor (although they have someone that can help with luggage). The room was clean but old. Breakfast was average. All-in-all, we expected a little more for a hotel in this price range.

While the front desk staff at Beachfront Inn in Brookings, Oregon, were friendly and welcoming, the condition of the room was disappointing. Upon entering, I immediately noticed a strong, unpleasant odor resembling animal urine. I attempted to air out the room by opening the balcony door, but unfortunately, the smell persisted. It appeared to be deeply embedded in the carpeting and lingered throughout the room. The odor significantly impacted my comfort and quality of sleep, making it difficult to enjoy what should have been a relaxing beachfront stay. Regardless of the location or amenities, a clean, fresh-smelling room is a basic expectation for any hotel. Although I appreciated the hospitality of the front desk staff, the room conditions overshadowed the experience. I would not recommend this hotel based on my stay and would encourage management to address the carpeting and room cleanliness for future guests.

We had an oceanfront room at the Beachfront Inn and the view was heavenly. We walked on the beach at sunset and admired the interesting rocks and driftwood that are plentiful on Brookings beaches. The room was clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was good, pretty much what we have come to expect at most hotels. The front desk staff got us in an hour before standard check in, which we really appreciated. The hotel is close to several restaurants, including a good Irish Pub. My only complaint was that the refrigerator made a strange noise, louder than most, and I finally had to turn up the temperature so it would stop going on and off. So I could have slept better if the sound of the waves had been the only background.

Thoroughly Disappointed
Thoroughly disappointed. We arrived to find the room had heat only—no air conditioning. We "slept" with the windows open, but the room was still uncomfortably warm - in October. Roofers began working directly overhead at 7:00 AM all weekend, Sleep requires a cool, quiet environment, and we got neither. We left exhausted. Management gave us a partial discount for the roofing noise, but they should have closed the hotel—or at least the top floor—during construction

This hotel is not what it use to be.
The location is amazing, however they manager decided to take the roof off of all 3 buildings at the sametime. Shingles were EVRYWHERE, metal hanging from the roof top, roof nails all over the entire driveway. I took the 5 that I found brought it to the front desk at 8 AM. They said maintenance was called and will clean it up. Never happened. Nails i continued to find for 2 days. Unacceptable
