Quaint and under construction
This is a quaint motel being completely updated. While we were there, 85% of the motel was under construction, so it had the feel of an active work site. An orderly site, but obviously in progress. Our second floor room had an amazing view of the river. Set your expectations accordingly, you’re going to climb stairs and carry your bags. It’s not horrible. The room was completely refreshed with a new bed, furniture, bathroom, etc. It was a 1950s size room, so the sink wasn’t in the bathroom. It was in the main bedroom. Not a problem, just relocated. There were extra outlets on the bedside tables and the desk/credenza had outlets for easy access. The bathroom door was hung on a barn door roller to slide along the wall. Oddly, the door isn’t wide enough to cover the whole door frame, so you only really have privacy if whomever is sharing your room stands immediately outside the door. Otherwise you can see into the room. The privacy dividers on the balcony were being installed across the property when we were there. They’ll be nice at some point. The breakfast is true continental. Set your expectations correctly.

The Hotel canceled our prepaid reservation 2 days before trip.
Well 2 days before check in I get a message they are canceling my reservation due to the building being under construction. Did they just figured it out 2 days before? Didn't know that a week ago, so maybe we could get something else. Now everything is super expensive and no money back in my account to pay for another room somewhere else. Refund can take days to get into bank account . What horrible customer service and great way to ruin a trip FYI: Don't take reservations for a building under construction not knowing if it will be completed in time. Thanks again for ruining my mothers birthday trip.

Amazing Stay at this Motel
I had the pleasure of staying at this motel in September and absolutely loved it. The view is amazing and the staff were helpful and caring. They are planning to upgrade the property and I am looking forward to the return to see the changes.

A quiet location convenient to Astoria.
A nice motel conveniently located just outside Astoria. Very much a throwback to the 60's. Many renovations completed with more coming. A very welcoming breakfast with great choices and considerate/friendly staff. Actually located in the Tongue Point area which was a naval base during WWII.

Never again
We have come to this place multiple times bit after this visit, never again. Part of the property is under construction. The ice and laundry are in that building so those amenities are not available. The room we got has a fridge so old it doesn't stay cold. There's no phone in the room so have to go out and around to the office. TV was so tiny, my computer monitor is bigger than it. We were here for 3 hours and ended up canceling and booking at another hotel. For $50 more per night I got an immensely better room at another establishment. Hubby and I loved this place and sadly we will never return and will let anyone we know not to as well.
