Yellowbottom Recreation Site offers several come-first served tent sites, including some reservable campsites, in an old growth forest along the beautiful Quartzville Creek Wild and Scenic River.
The campground is located at milepost 24 of the Quartzville Back Country Byway, northeast of Sweet Home and upstream of Green Peter Reservoir. The 13-acre campground was developed in 1964. The site offers a camp host, a solar water system that provides potable water, river access, hiking trails, vault toilets, garbage service, and a day-use area with 5 picnic sites.
Know Before You Go:
- Fires are limited to the steel fire rings and grills.
- Site is open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend each year unless otherwise posted.
- Purchase firewood from the camp hosts. Firewood collection is not allowed.
