Hot Springs Campground

The Hot Springs Campground is located in the Hart Mountain Antelope Refuge.

This remote and rugged campground is the perfect place for respite and to immerse yourself in nature. What this hidden gem lacks for by way of traditional amenities, more than makes up for it with its abundance of wildlife viewing, two on-site hot springs (one is very primitive), private camp spots and views of mountain.

Things to know before you go:

  • Camping is walk-up only
  • There are vault toilets
  • There is no potable water
  • You will be driving primarily on gravel roads
  • There are some driving restrictions in the refuge
  • Hunting is allowed during certain times of year

Be sure to check in at the Hart Mountain Antelope Refuge Headquarters on your way to this campground. Headquarter is open 24-hours a day, though not staffed, and provides information about the refuge, wildlife and has potable water.
