Lincoln City's best kept lodging secret. The Whistling Winds Motel is charming, unique and nestled in a quiet neighborhood close to the beach. Pull your car, motorcycle or special vehicle right up to your room. There is a nice selection of rooms for couples or groups of 4- 6 guests. Some rooms have kitchens, fireplaces & giant hot tubs. The firepit is especially nice for an evening campfire.

Pleasant stay
A wonderful stay, the room was cozy and the woodwork was beautiful. The host was attentive and pleasant. Close to the beach, casino, shopping and food options. Great price, we really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back

Exceptional
We travel quite a bit for work and band gigs. We've stayed in the fanciest, most expensive hotels and the small, not so fancy hotels but Whistling Winds will always be our favorite spot. The on site Manager, Kathy is the kindest most accommodating and genuine Manager we've ever met. She's become family to us! Her staff is also exceptional! This hotel speaks for itself, just drive by or look up photos. The owners have done an outstanding job making this an extremely cute and cozy place to stay AND it's a very short walk to the beach. The rooms are all different and designed for different family/business needs/wants. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Our family and friends rate this little, home away from home, 10/10.

Wonderful find.
What a gem! Discovered randomly. Good price, comfortable room with plenty of places to put our “stuff.” Nice kitchen area with real cups (not paper). Friendly manager too.

Simply perfect, again!
Same apartment as in many years past-#12. A beautiful vase of fresh flowers was on a table. Hand crafted stone gas fireplace still there and still worked. Wood paneling, put in board by board years ago, still gleamed warmly. A step back in time to when craftsmanship was the norm. Still fiercely maintained and still so beautiful. Comfy couch and upholstered chairs, area rugs so watching TV and reading was so enjoyable. All was in a warm, slow down and relax way. Great frig, stove and oven, microwave and coffee perk machine. Great shower, too. Walked to our chosen restaurants every evening. Crazy wind, but we were snug in our queen bed that was firm enough but not too hard. Had forgotten how special this beautiful inn is. “She Who Rules”, the manager, keeps everything clean and tidy and runs a tight ship. So kind, but you relax, knowing she is always vigilant. And, for us, the best: no pets. I could breathe. And, the precious wood floors, the rugs, the furniture remain a gentle, glowing reminder that beauty still exists. Thank you, Whistling Wind. You rejuvenated us!
