The Whistling Winds is a restored 1930s Motor Coach Motel. This sixteen unit motel is nestled quietly in Lincoln City’s residential neighborhood across the street and 1/2 block to low beach access and only 6 blocks to the Chinook Winds Casino. Whistling Winds is great for the private getaway, spending a nice weekend with that someone special or the whole family.

Just sleep in your car and save the money, would be just as comfortable without having to deal with the angry owners.

Property: small rooms, no amenities (live TV, etc.), bed is very small and not comfortable, shower/bathroom is even smaller and not meant for anyone over about 5'5, can hear EVERYTHING around you including all neighbors in their own rooms, parking would be difficult if they were ever near full. Overall very very basic for the price. Location is near the ocean in the map but there is no view and no access. No different than staying in the main road. Owners were downright hostile. Property was not worth spending another night at so I went to turn in my key. Woman at the front desk says, "that's not how it works" to which I reply that I'm not asking for a refund, I'm just returning my key. She accuses me of being rude and storms off - whatever, probably just in a bad mood. I go to my car outside and am putting in directions to go home when the husband is creepily staring at me in the window. As I go to leave he storms out like he wants to fight me. I roll down my window and ask him what his problem is. He can't seem to articulate anything so I start driving off to which he yells "yeah drive off b*tch!" Guess I really hurt their feelings leaving a night early (without even requesting a refund of the night I'm not using??)

Great family owned motel

Super clean. Charmingly restored old Motel. Owner friendly and helpful. Quiet location away from traffic. Central location close to the ocean. Will definitely stay here again if I’m in Lincoln City. I stayed in the suite with a kitchen. Gas fireplace.

Comfortable and cozy

Overnight stay after a weekend visit with friends. Check-in was friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and cozy. Definitely not a resort or chain motel look and ambiance. Reminds me of the family run motels we used to stay in on family trips. No issues with Internet connectivity. No cable TV, but you can used your own streaming services. I wasn't interested in TV, but just an FYI. I highly recommend for a comfortable and low key stay.

We like it here

very quaint and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and this was our second time to stay here. We will be back. The location is handy to the casino and other places we like to go. The owners are very friendly and make you feel at home.

Great stay!

Lovely cabin! Cabin was very clean and comfortable. The service is great! Owner checked us in and he was friendly and helpful. We will definitely keep this place on our list of places to come back to. Absolutely loved it!
