A First Class Hotel
We arrived 3 hours ahead of check- in and were welcomed by the valet who was warm & friendly. By the time we’d parked our car and reached reception, we were informed our room was ready, had been upgraded to a junior suite and our cases were already in the room. We were offered a pillow menu and choice of scented soaps. Customer service here was first class and we’d love to have stayed longer than 1 night. A very comfortable stay, highly recommended.

Great find in Bend
Stopped for one night on our way through Bend on a road trip and could not be happier with our choice. We were met at the curb by friendly, helpful valet staff, not overbearing, just helpful. Check-in was easy, the hotel is charming and situated within walking distance of restaurants, shopping, the river, coffee shops, breweries. Our room was clean, thoughtfully stocked, spacious and so comfortable. Had a great evening walking around Bend, a wonderful night sleep and would definitely stay again!

Oxford is Bend
Excellent location, access to all of the very interesting downtown with all of its early 1900’s architecture and history. Walkable to the Mill District and river parks. Well appointed lobby and rooms w great views of the town and mountains from our 6th floor. Courteous, friendly and professional service. Valet was worth it to us - fast and convenient. Roam restaraunt was a real plus. Great breakfast. Do a concert on the river - special venue for true Bend experience. Wedding was in sisters was special too.

High Cost - Low Value
Plus’s: Spacious quiet room, nice linens, large screen tv, plenty of hangers, complimentary French press freshly ground coffees with cream, early and late checkout. Cons: There is really no competitive hotel in Bend so they attempt to just phone it in. The building is a classic old dame but the prices are sky high for what delivered like a Hyatt Airport Hotel. There is no pool or steam room, a minimal workout room with just a few lifecycles and free weights. The art in the room and near the elevators were not worthy of even a motel wall. There was a tacky display of phony flowers and plastic cactus in the lobby where a magnificent spray of fresh flowers should have graced the entrance. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower was attached to the wall so couldn’t be used in bathtub without transferring it into glasses and carrying it over to the tub. There was no turndown service and only one chocolate was left in our room when we arrived, even though we booked for two people. At 9:05 am, housekeeping knocked once and then barged in before I even had a chance to get to the door. And finally, a pile of dirty dishes from room service sat on the floor in the hallway for hours. The morning we left, we were texted a questionnaire to fill out before we left. Within minutes of sending it back, I was summoned by Jacob Duncan, the manager: He was defensive, offered nothing but excuses, and sent me away with his business card and the recommendation that we return between October and March so he could ensure that we could get in to see one of the jazz sessions they have on Wednesday nights. He didn’t offer to get us in for free, mind you, he simply offered to ensure that we would be able to purchase the difficult to get tickets. I left feeling ripped off and propose that the hotel hire a much more fastidious manager with a higher sense of aesthetics and more gracious people skills. I will return to Bend again and agin but you can be sure I won’t be wasting my money at the Oxford!

A Perfect Staycation at the Bend Oxford Hotel
We recently enjoyed a wonderful staycation weekend at the Oxford Hotel Bend, and it absolutely lived up to our long-standing bucket list expectations. My daughter was heading back to nursing school, so we made it extra special by timing our visit with First Friday Bend. We loved strolling through downtown, shopping, and soaking in the energy of the evening. The hotel amenities were exceptional—we took full advantage of the gym, sauna, and spa, which made the stay feel both indulgent and restorative. Dinner at Roam (our favorite spot downtown) was, as always, fantastic. One of the highlights was enjoying a glass of wine on our private terrace while watching the sunset—such a peaceful and memorable moment. We both slept incredibly well, and the room itself was beautifully appointed with thoughtful details throughout. Breakfast via room service was outstanding, and the French press coffee was an extra treat we truly appreciated. We savored every minute of our stay and are already looking forward to our next visit. Well done, Oxford Hotel—you made our weekend unforgettable!
