This hotel reminds guest of a 1940’s vintage beach resort with large wrap-around verandas and unobstructed views of the beach perfect for sunset gazing. The lobby welcomes guests with the warmth of massive Douglas fir beams and beautiful reclaimed and repurposed hardwood floors, all of which are anchored by a massive two-story river-rock wood-burning fireplace. Upstairs, a library with its own fireplace is filled with modern and classic literature for our guests to enjoy, and there are always fresh hot beverages and home-baked cookies awaiting our guests. This is beach living at its best.

Amazing experience. The lodge was clean and beautiful- SAFE. The staff were always available to help out if needed. The location was perfect for walking to the Haystack Rock. We had a fire on the beach that they set up for us! It is about a 5-7 minute drive to downtown Cannon where all the shopping and restaurants were and of course you could walk if you wanted to but for us, it was perfect. Cannot wait to return

Fabulous extended family stay
A perfect stay on the coast! And wow, we got lucky with perfect sunny weather! This is the place to stay in Cannon Beach. The star, the service, the rooms, and the VIEW. I couldn’t get enough and wished we had booked to stay longer. I have never seen a resort give such attention to keep the windows clean. The view from our room was spectacular day and night. Location is a short walk to the tide pools around Haystack Rock at low tide and a short trip to town for many restaurant choices. We can’t wait to go back to the Ocean Lodge!

Love The Ocean Lodge
Absolutely love The Ocean Lodge in Cannon Beach. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean. Views from ocean front rooms are amazing. Haystack is a short walk. They will set up a beach bonfire for you and you can purchase a s'mores kit. Breakfast offerings are very nice. Dining room can get a big crowded at peak hours but they provide trays so you take your food to your room if you'd like. The bed was a little soft for me but I like a pretty firm mattress. Also, wish the toilets were comfort height. For those of us oldies but goodies with bad knees, the standard (lower) heights are a challenge. But overall, highly recommend. We've stayed there twice and would definitely stay there again.

LOVED it! Fantastic in every way
Wonderful in every way! We loved this hotel and Cannon beach so much that this hotel will be an annual tradition going forward. Rooms are clean, cozy and resort is extremely dog friendly. They also have a laundry room where guests can wash their clothes which was so nice. I wish they had a restaurant on site but it is close enough to the Stephanie next-door which has a five star restaurant and close enough to downtown where there are lots of restaurants. The thing we loved most was the proximity to Haystack rock.
