Escape to The Ocean Lodge and take a nostalgic trip into yesteryear when life was less complicated. This hotel reminds guest of a 1940’s vintage beach resort with large wrap-around verandas and unobstructed views of the beach perfect for sunset gazing. The lobby welcomes guests with the warmth of massive Douglas fir beams and beautiful reclaimed and repurposed hardwood floors, all of which are anchored by a massive two-story river-rock wood-burning fireplace. Upstairs, a library with its own fireplace is filled with modern and classic literature for our guests to enjoy, and there are always fresh hot beverages and home-baked cookies awaiting our guests. This is beach living at its best.

We had a fantastic stay at The Ocean Lodge in Cannon Beach and would absolutely return. The location is hard to beat — right on the beach with easy access to Haystack Rock, downtown Cannon Beach, and everything you’d want to explore along the coast. After switching to a beachfront room, we quickly realized it was 100% worth it. The views and atmosphere made the experience even more memorable. The room itself was very comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and the overall property had a relaxed coastal charm that fit Cannon Beach perfectly. One of the biggest surprises was how many thoughtful extras the hotel included. The complimentary breakfast and happy hour were both excellent additions that made the stay feel even more welcoming. The free saltwater taffy and snacks throughout the property were also a fun touch that we genuinely enjoyed. What really stood out most, though, was the staff. Everyone we interacted with at Ocean Lodge was friendly, helpful, and genuinely pleasant to talk to. Max and Nicole at the front desk were especially fantastic and helped us switch rooms so we could move into a beachfront room during our stay. Their helpfulness and positive attitude really elevated the experience. The hospitality here feels genuine, and it’s clear the staff takes pride in making guests feel comfortable and cared for. Highly recommend The Ocean Lodge for anyone visiting Cannon Beach — especially if you want a relaxing, walkable, beachfront stay with excellent service.

My Favorite Oregon Destination
Ocean Lodge is my favorite Oregon destination. Great location wonderful staff and Uber pet friendly! Love the new towels...so soft! And the hydration station is a great add! Thank you Ocean Lodge staff you are all wonderful, always good to see you all! 🥰

Couldn't Be Better!
This is consistently the best hotel in Cannon Beach. The location is perfect, it's always clean and quiet, plus their breakfast buffet is to be admired!

Exceptional lodging experience on Cannon Beach
Exceptional property perfectly located on Cannon Beach. The staff perfects the art of warm hospitality. Our room/cottage was quiet, exquisitely appointed and exceedingly comfortable. Being able to bring our golden retriever was a huge bonus as well. The Ocean Lodge is a "10" in our book!

We had a nice stay. Very chill place to stay. Middle of hotel and upper floor offers best view. The location out of the fray is a plus. The breakfast is above average. Nice they offer a free wine and snack service each evening. Another nicety is free transportation to/from central Cannon Beach. Walk to beach, shopping, pubs and cafes.
