    Enjoyed my stay.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel had a cool aesthetic. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. The room was lovely, clean, and perfect for me. The free breakfast offered a nice variety of delights with tons of options.

Clean/ make sure you shower early

Hotel was clean and within walking distance to the shops down town. Staff was nice and friendly. The walls are thin. The first day we slept in until 9:30 and there was no hot water for either of us. The second day we showered by 8:00 and there was hot water. Not sure I would stay there again. No view at all from the side we got stuck on.

    Saltline in October

We travelled to Seaside from Vancouver, BC on our way to Portland. We found the hotel and the town to be very lovely and full of friendly people. The staff at Saltline have to be some of the friendliest hotel staff we have ever come across, and we are avid travellers across the globe. Their cheerfulness, the great music they play, and their willingness to take a minute to chat really sets them apart from many other hotel experiences. We booked our room through Expedia and somehow ended up with an accessibility room, which we did not require. The staff member did not hesitate to find us a more suitable room. She also had great recommendations for places to eat. The pool and hot tub were lovely as well. One day the hot tub wasn’t warm at all but the maintenance man fixed it as soon as he was notified. The gym was different and didn’t have a lot going on, but if you’re creative, you can get in a good workout. As far as cardio goes, I’d recommend running down the waterfront if you can. The room itself was clean, comfortable and had nice soaps, shampoos, etc. There’s also a nice fridge in the room and a microwave, which we don’t often see in many hotels. They also have a coffee machine with coffee and tea pods in the room. The breakfast that is included in your stay is also nice to have. They offer eggs, waffles, bacon and/or sausage, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal with toppings, fruits, bagels, toast, yogurt, etc. Wouldn’t suggest much more than that! Overall, we would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Seaside. It’s a lot nicer than many hotels that are right on the beach and Saltline is only a two minute walk from the beach anyways.

Great staff and rooms at the Saltline Hotel

We stayed at the Saltline in July. The hotel has comfortable, modern, clean rooms with plenty of space. We enjoyed the hotel pool as well. Best of all was the great service provided by the staff. Sandra went out of her way to help with an issue when I needed a quiet place to work, and everyone we interacted with had helpful suggestions and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Would highly recommend staying here!

    Mixed Bag Stay

My family and I just stayed at the Saltline this past week (June 2023). I'd call the stay a bit of a mixed bag. First, the good: great location a block or so from the beach and close to restaurants and shopping. The hotel property and rooms are clearly updated and very nice. Our room had a balcony which was a great place to relax. The pool and hot tub were nice and a great place for my family to end our evenings. Okay, for the not as good: I was traveling with my family (two kids in tow) which means we had tons of trash, dirty towels, etc. and a room desperately needing a refresh the second day. We didn't realize until we got back to our room that day that housekeeping would not be cleaning our room because we didn't put the sign on our door to request housekeeping. (We saw the sign hanging on the inside of the door but assumed only that it was a 'do not disturb' sign.) In other words, the guy that checked us in didn't mention this policy. Maybe it's just me, but I would consider that a good thing to mention to every guest at checkout (especially if they're traveling with a large party). When I mentioned this to the guy at the front desk, he did come up and change our trash and brought us fresh towels when we requested it, so that helped. On top of all that we also found a pacifier under our bed, which wasn't ours (we didn't travel with a baby). Kinda gross. We are pretty low maintenance travelers so I hate to be complainer guy but it felt a bit warranted in this case.
