Good hotel, ask for room not near elevator

Very nice hotel and staff. The main problem was that my room was next to the elevator. I was woken up at 4am by the elevator sounds. Also, the wifi went out a lot. I think it is due to being next to the elevator shaft. It was embarrassing to have the wifi go out exactly as I was presenting to a group online. I suggest telling the staff not to put you next to the elevator. I hope you have a better experience than me. Also know that many of the 2nd floor rooms have no balcony and the windows only only 1/2 in those rooms. Ask for a higher room NOT next to the elevator and learn from my pain.

A Beautiful Hotel in the Heart of a Small Family Fun Town!

We stayed at the Seaside Oregon Salt Line Hotel. We were given a corner room, #410. The Salt Line, Oregon is a lovely, modern hotel. The room was absolutely gorgeous. The balcony door opened out to the view of the mountain foothills and city around with 2 chairs to sit and relax. The bed & bedding is very comfortable. There is no closet, but they do have an open area to hang your clothes and cubbies to put small items or backpacks. 2 small drawers for quick clothing. The fridge is small BUT surprisingly, I was able to put in leftover containers, lots of bottles of water and some local beer cans. They have a pod coffee maker, but we enjoyed the brewed coffee from the dining area. The bathroom sink is on the outside of the toilet/shower area, not a lot of vanity space, but workable. There is one light only for the toilet/shower room, so if you need to go in the middle of the night, it’s pretty bright in there, so no dimmer or 2 lights for the toilet/shower room, the switches are on the outside of the bathroom. There is no safe in the room, I did not inquire about one, but I’m sure they would have safes if requested. We did not need room service to be done. Plenty of towels and robes!!! Breakfast was good and hot. Many options. There is a hot tub and pool with towels. Not much chair space in the pool room. The Front Desk staff are very personable and welcoming. Highly recommend

    Security concerns

I was thrilled with the lovely and modern hotel and room until I realized the balcony door did not have a lock on the inside. Balconies are very close together. I was switched to another room right away but the balcony door again did not have a bolt on the handle of the original hardware. However there was a a lock on the outside of the door which could be accessed to open by employees with a key? There was a flimsy temporary bolt put in on the upper part of balcony door inside. Needless to say I did not sleep well. Hotel staff said they would be doing upgrades soon.

    Peaceful Coastal Getaway

Had the loveliest seashore reset! They provided bicycles to cycle along the beach and the staff were very kind. The views of the water were second to none and the rooms were clean, beds - comfy, and stylish. I would highly recommend staying here!

Seaside’s Little Gem with Big-Hearted Service

This is a lovely little gem, super conveniently located so you can walk everywhere in the charming/historic/quirky little town of Seaside. The best thing about the hotel is the staff. Warm, welcoming and here's what really told me they were fabulous before I arrived: when I called asking if they had valet or bell services (I was arriving for a conference and had a ton of stuff to lug to my room), they replied quickly with a "no, but we can ask our maintenance man to help you and it would be our pleasure to assist you." That redirect to a "no" but then offering something in its place was golden. The hotel has been updated and is very bo-ho modern with a lovely lobby and hot morning breakfast buffet, fresh fruit and an attendant to make sure things are replenished and fresh. My room was on 2nd floor and immaculate - all the basics of fridge and microwave, thoughtful and modern plug-ins for devices (USB and USB c, etc). If you're wondering if the hotel has ocean views, no it does not. It looks out on a parking lot on one side, and I"m guessing the other side may have some partial ocean views, but there's so much to explore on foot and by car. Just 10 minutes north is Lewis and Clark National Park and 30 minutes beyond that you can cross the bridge to Washington for some amazing lighthouses and Lewis and Clark Interpretive Centers overlooking the ocean. Lots of options. Every time I came/went, the staff was warm and friendly and it's a nice, solid option for Seaside. If you are attending a conference, the conference center is literally across the street- super easy access.
