Wonderful
My husband and I spent 3 nights at The Landmark Inn and we loved it. Yes the bed was soft. Yet the owl softly hooting not to far off was enjoyable. We had a second floor room and we had the river view. Far off enough the sounds of a working port town did not disturb. I can't for the life of me see what someone had against the toilet. They were clean plenty of paper. The entire place was very clean even the windows and floors. It was very quite. We had people under us and beside us and no sounds. The folks who run the place are great nice and attentive. No smoking indoors and it seemed folks listening. They were away from any doors or windows. I did not use the hot tube so no help there. Coffee in am. We requested a coffee pot. It was a full size coffee pot, nice. No breakfast. There is a great breakfast place at the end of the short street. It was a good meal. Anywhere we ate in old town was very good. The town has so many little store. Art ,Antiques eateries with fine seafood to plain good pizza and a beer locally supported by fine chiefs to fancy artisans. It is nearing Christmas and this town has done very well lights in small parks the CPA on 101 had really out done itself. We will be back and Florence Oregon your a great town

Tired little Inn
We appreciated being able to walk to old town and the walk up the driveway was a good workout. I am tired of innkeepers still using COVID as an excuse for no breakfast items. Offer some fresh fruit, Costco muffins or granola bars and require masks if you are really concerned. Coffee at 8am, what planet are they from, most people are already at work by then. The two nights we stayed we had two men in the room next to us and I’m not exaggerating when I say we could hear them talking, to the point we could have tapped on the wall and joined the conversation. It was really embarrassing the lack of privacy they had, but one guy really loves his wife.

On its last legs
First off, the accommodations pickings in this mid-range coastal town are very slim indeed. So saying this humble little place is just acceptable needs to be placed in context. Most important for anyone staying here — especially women on their own— is that the suite doors barely lock with a pathetic turn lock… the same kind you’d use for your bathroom. I felt very, no extremely, unsafe staying here and leaving my things here when I went out. (And no, the little privacy slide didn’t do much to reassure me when I was in the room.) The room is clean. The view on the river side of the upper floor is pleasant. The heat works. The windows open. My suite (#10) was roomy. The TV and WiFi work. That’s it. All else is back country old fashioned and inadequate: plugs for devices, shower and toilet condition, bed and bedding (bring your own pillows and mattress if you can), condition of room sofa and other furniture (thrift store quality). In all, this place is depressing and feels unsafe. I’m guessing that the couple who owns the place is ready to retire. Usually reviewers say you can do better elsewhere. But in Florence, I don’t think that’s possible. Wiser to find a better coastal town… Cannon Beach, Newport, Astoria.

Quaint Hotel
Loved our stay at Landmark Inn. We stayed in a King room on the 2nd floor. Nice and safe location on a hill. We loved the comfortable seating area. Very spacious, quiet and clean. Close to old town. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will plan on staying here in the future.

Disappointing, all around.
My boyfriend and I booked the jacuzzi room with the hopes of a relaxing, stress-free weekend. We stayed one night in room 12. The room was so much smaller than it looked online. The bed was soft but not comfy to sleep on. There was 2 uncomfortable chairs and an in table stuffed in the corner and no table to eat at. An odd layout put the bathroom sink next to the bed. There are spots of black mold in the corners of the entryway, the corner of the main room above the jacuzzi and the entire window sill in the bathroom. We filled the jacuzzi after dinner for a romantic soak. The water started out clear and just the right temperature...then we turned on the jets. Within 10 minutes there was a disgusting brown film forming all along the top and edge of the water. At first, I just saw a little bit and tried to wipe it off the side with a towel. Then there was just more and more. In a matter of 30 minutes there was a gross brown ring all around the tub and what looked like chunks of gross brown stuff stuck to the sides. I called the front desk and she said that someone would be up to look at it in a minute. She got there and told me that that was just how the water is in Florence and that I just had to drain it, CLEAN IT and refill it! I did not pay $175 to clean someone else's disgusting jacuzzi tub! The customer service was 100% lacking. No offer to switch our room. No offer to discount the room. Upon checkout, I told the man at the front desk that our stay was very disappointing and that I would like a discount since I couldn't use the disgusting jacuzzi that I paid extra for and was told again that thats just the way it is. I was sure to tell him the same thing I told the woman the night before, I did not pay $175 to clean someone else's jacuzzi. They were rude and unapologetic. I 100% RECOMMEND THAT YOU STAY ELSEWHERE. Definitely not worth the money wasted. Lesson learned and next time we'll stay at Driftwood Shores, close in pricing but 20x better service, better location, better amenities.
