Very clean and comfortable rooms, good internet, and very easy check-in/check-out process. They had everything needed for a few days' stay, and nothing that's unneeded. I will absolutely stay again.
We loved our stay here! Norm and Cathy are great and their Koi pond is amazing. The cabin is rustic (but we love that) and very clean. Everything we needed for a great two day waterfall hike adventure. Strongly recommend!
I stayed at cabin 2 at the Dogwood motel for 3 nights in late June. I had made reservations with the owner Norman a few weeks before, and it was easy and simple. The 'cabin' had 2 comfortable queen beds and a kitchenette. There was some traffic noise but it wasn't too bad as it's not heavy traffic up there. The surrounding was well kept and the koi pond is lovely. We had a small BbQ dinner one evening, and ate by the gazebo. Our purpose was to visit Crater lake and the waterfalls at the Umpqua national Forest, and I wanted a place that had a small kitchen to cook our meals. Owner Norman was pleasant and provided us with brochures on the waterfalls, and other info on the areas. It was a pleasant and safe stay. No frills but plenty of thrills. 💓
Simple and clean. We will be back. The hiking and walking trails are endless. Bring mosquito spray in the summer. My favorite hike was past the Tioga Bridge approx. 1.5 miles then turning around. Also I hear the Umpqua river is one of the best fly fishing rivers in the world.
Amazing place! You feel you have been transported back to the 40's or 50's. Norman is the most personable host and owner that has thought of every detail for your comfort and convenience. Whether he's offering you wine or asking if you want to grill out. He is one in a million. The cabins are immaculate and the kitchenettes have everything you could ever need. It is tranquil therapy for the soul and eyes. The lush landscape, sounds of birds and waterfall lulls you into a state of peace you can't imagine. The koi pond full of huge beautiful koi each with it's own personality just adds the the beauty. If you're a fisherman fly or regular this is the area for you. Pristine creeks run across the street calling your name. If you love hiking there are too many trails to mention of every level from easy to challenging. Are you in love with waterfalls? There are over 11 amazing and different ones within 10-30 minutes from the hotel. I truly believe it is a one of a kind gem still undiscovered by a lot of people. Do you like INCREDIBLE attractions? Crater lake is a short day trip drive away. I left in tears because I didn't want to leave this place. I will definitely come back again sooner rather than later. Came home showed my husband my pictures and booked a stay for next month too!
