The hotel has a wonderful location right on the river and my husband enjoyed watching the big ships pass by as well as the abundant bird life. The views were spectacular although I had to wipe down the grimy windows to see clearly. Our room had a very large balcony but we didn't use it, partly because the chairs needed a good cleaning. Our bedroom blind was broken, so we left it down, but put it up on the last day, which is when I noticed the thick layer of dust on the dresser. The bath area was very nice and included a large double shower and plenty of towels. There was hair wrapped around the sink drain plug and dirty handprints on the door. The bathroom had several handy drawers. Unfortunately they were dirty, including hair in two of them. On arrival, there was a strong perfume aroma in the unit. I inquired at the front desk if this was standard and was told they use air freshener, but this was much stronger than your typical air freshener. Back in the room I tried to find the source and found the two robes in the bathroom that reeked of fragrance, so I put them away in the closet and the odor diminished somewhat. For us, the hotel was convenient, comfortable for the most part, and in a great location. But given the lack of quality housekeeping, not worth the high price we paid.

Loved everything about this hotel. Beautiful room and lobby. Many special touches that we appreciated. All staff members were friendly and helpful.

Fantastic stay
We truly enjoyed our stay here. The room had everything we could ever want. From the claw foot tub to the fireplace, and then the balcony to watch river traffic. When we left I was sad we had not booked it for longer.

I don’t think we will come back again. Given a unpleasant whenever we pass with our dog
If you list your hotel as dog friendly but the demeanor of the front desk doesn’t reflect that it’s not a very pleasant experience.
