Rustic beach vibe, we loved our stay!
We stayed for one night as a family of four and we loved our stay! It was a cute rustic beachy vibe in the room and they deliver you breakfast in the morning to your room in a box which was fun and our sons really loved that! Comfortable clean and really close to the beach and restaurants etc of Seaside. Definitely recommend!

Worst experience!!!!
First my kids are swimming in the tiny pool they have and it’s freezing. It’s not heated and they never try to fix it. And I see poop in the pool. Nobody has been checking it! Then it advertised for daily room service, plus i get a text asking if I want my room serviced and it never gets cleaned. Then they make you fill out form to get breakfast bud don’t give you the form and don’t just bring it to you So there is no breakfast as advetised. No cleaning. And to top it off there is nobody in the office at night and I got locked out of my room for hours in the middle of the night and nobody answered the after hours number. I waited for 5 minutes on hold and nobody ever answered multiple times. I also tried to ride the bikes with my kids and all the kid bikes were too rusty to ride. This hotel is conniving advertising breakfast and daily cleaning and bikes and you don’t get any of that. Can’t even get in your own room after hours. Never again!

Friendly staff, dark room
The service was awesome. Front desk staff was very nice and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable mattress. As there is only one window that faces the parking lot, it was a dark room. They had a great photographer for their website as the rooms look light and bright. They were not. If I was coming with kid and dogs, I wouldn't have minded as much. My stay was for anniversary and romantic is not the adjective I'd use. However, the sauna and saline pool were a nice addition. I would stay here again.

Hidden gem in Seaside
This little hotel is a hidden gem. The place is cute. Theres a little cafe with food, beer and wine and non alcoholic drinks, there is a salt water pool & sauna. There is an outdoor fire pit area too. And They deliver breakfast to your room daily. The beds were super Comfy. It’s got an eco friendly industrial vibe. Per friendly too. We Loved the Edison bulb lighting. And the perfect location in seaside, 1 block to the promenade and shopping. On site parking. The staff were very friendly! We loved it.

Roof leaked into our room, inadequate resolution
I booked Ashore based on sustainability practices, location, and amenities. The pool was great- saltwater, warm, great for kids. It was really nice to have a sauna as well. They deliver complimentary breakfast to your room as well. Unfortunately, 2 days into our 4 day stay, the roof started leaking into our room. Totally understand things unexpectedly happen, however, the process of trying to resolve this was extremely frustrating. We got confusing, conflicting information (such as, you can stay in this room for a "discount" but no one could tell me what the discount was, then later we were told we actually had to leave the room). In the end we were given two options- 1) move from a Suite with 3 beds into a room with 1 queen bed and a sofa trundle and receive a 10% discount on their usual rate for the queen room (which was much higher than the rate posted online through their website) or 2) they would "let" us leave without using the two remaining nights on our reservation and not charge us for the remaining unused nights! (on the leaking room we were forced to leave) When I asked if we could perhaps have a larger discount given the inconvenience and disruption, or a partial refund if we end up cutting our trip short because of this, I was told I could wait two hours for the manager to arrive at 4 pm to ask and see if she would grant a more substantial discount. It's important to note that the front desk staff have been texting and calling the manager throughout this incident but would not ask about this and said there was no way to get this information sooner. We decided to leave at this point. The manager, Luz, did contact me later but refused to give any partial discount or credit for this incident, because she stated there were no issues in the room the first two nights. Unfortunately I cannot recommend Ashore given this experience.
