# 1 on our list of best Bed and Breakfast
THE Mill House of Hines, Oregon was an exceptional experience on our West Coast trip. We wished we could have stayed more than one night after we met the hosts. They welcome you as family. They provide a tour and history that is so interesting. The room was cozy, relaxing, and exceptionally clean. You are able to relax and socialize with others in a beautifully decorated study or relax in your room. The memorabilia in the house is amazing. The "secret" vault room is so interesting. And then there is breakfast! The hosts go above and beyond and provide a breakfast that is one of the best we ever had and most filling. We have stayed in many bed and breakfasts and can say this was tops on our list for comfort, meal, cleanliness, hospitality, safety, location.

Friendly b&b with wood mill history
The wood mill offices turned bed and breakfast are wonderful with many artifacts. From the lumber industry. The breakfast area and common room are much larger than you would find in a house and some former mill employees get together for coffee every monday and tell stories. We really enjoyed hearing the history and seeing how much was preserved. Our room was very nicely decorated and quiet.

Staying in history
Beautiful historic B&B. The innkeepers were friendly and warm as they showed us their inn and artifacts they have collected of the lumber company and Hines town. Huge breakfast which was very good. Great coffee too! We love the Steens Mtns and will make this B & B are base for visiting next time we are in this area.

A Hidden Gem in Hines/Burns – The Pine Mill House
took my parents on a sightseeing excursion to Southeast Oregon to visit Malheur Wildlife Refuge, the Alvord Desert, Steens Mountain, Diamond Craters, and more. We used The Pine Mill House as our home base, taking day trips from there. This bed and breakfast was a wonderful find in the Hines/Burns area. Roger and Shani are amazing hosts, and the historic mill has such a fascinating story, which they share beautifully with their guests. The breakfasts were delicious, and Shani even adapted some dishes for my father, who is diabetic. The property has four very comfortable, charming rooms. I stayed in one where the bathroom was across the hall, but it was my own private bathroom, and it truly felt like it was part of my room—so don’t let that deter you from booking. I’ve stayed in local hotels before, and this is by far my favorite place to stay in the area. They even offered a 24/7 breakfast bar a multi-night discount, which were added bonuses! Nice job.

Eastern Oregon Delight.
We loved this place. The old building has been redesigned as a bed and breakfast thoughtfully and with attention to detail. Our room, the Lodgepole Pine Room, is casually elegant and so very comfortable. The hosts/owners, Roger and Shani are personable and very helpful. The breakfasts are sumptuous and delicious. The location is great for exploring the area. We focused on the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, a gem.
