Outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers are drawn to The Catbird Seat for the local scenery, as well as amenities just outside our own doors. Numerous parks, waterways, and nature trails are within a short walk or ride, and even our road has been a locals’ favorite choice for walking, cycling, or touring by motorcycle or car. While the days and nights here are marked by tranquility, our guests are never far from the action, be it the city of Eugene (15 minutes), wineries (10 – 30 minutes), or the Eugene airport (10 minutes). The Catbird Seat offers easy access to the best of the area! Relax and enjoy a touch of Southern hospitality in a setting that combines eclectic elegance with nature’s exquisite perfection. A stay at Catbird is so wonderfully complete and serene, that only superlatives can suffice! Further, so much had ALREADY been considered by the host, Elizabeth Hainsworth, prior to walking into the home, I found myself stunned by what I faced. This home wants for nothing -- it instantly diffused my worldly concerns! As a well-travelled professional musician (nationally and internationally), I was not imagining I could find a "get-away" so adeptly capable of total serenity, yet easy access to "busier options"! The end of 2023 had many exhausting challenges, prior to arrival...(and soon, I found daunting new ones in 2024!), so my hopes for relaxation were loaded. Thankfully, they were well-met in the experience Ms. Hainsworth and Catbird Seat provided. Not only was I soothed by the ease of quietude surrounding me, I now realise I became equipped and fit for the new challenges that lay ahead. Every minute and even penny provided more than imagination, not to mention the creative, tasty, and satisfying breakfasts! Thank you, Elizabeth, and thank you Catbird Seat. Absolutely Fantastic!

Magnificent! Elizabeth is the consummate host. The common spaces and the room were beautiful and cozy at the same time. Somehow, the B&B is less than ten minutes from the airport (and less than 30 minutes from the University) and yet you are nestled in the middle of nature and feel like you are a million miles away. The breakfasts were delicious and healthy - and Elizabeth is truly wonderful. I went for a last minute work trip and came back with wonderful memories and a new friend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Catbird Seat B&B. The house was darling, and the landscape around the house was quite scenic. It was quiet and relaxing and you could occasionally hear a rooster crowing or cow mooing from the farm across the road while sitting on the deck. Our room was spacious and charming, and the king size bed was very comfortable. The best part about the place, however, was Elizabeth, the owner. She was so pleasant and helpful and made fabulous breakfasts! She also gave us great recommendations of places to visit nearby. It felt like a home away from home. We would definitely stay there again!

Delightful, comfortable, homey

What a delightful experience! Elizabeth was a perfect hostess. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfasts were delicious and locally sourced, including items from Elizabeth's yard. She made us feel very welcome amid her many interesting and special interior features. Everything was clean.

Quiet and comfortable

Warm welcome, lovely quiet, clean room with screens on the windows, private bathroom. The breakfast was excellent, including fresh fruit, an omelet and delicious grits. The property is well maintained and very quiet. We had a lovely evening sitting out on the patio and enjoyed a good sleep
