The Newport Belle is a sternwheel riverboat specifically designed as a Bed & Breakfast Inn. It combines the nostalgia of the turn-of-the-century with all the amenities the modern traveler expects.

The Newport Belle is the perfect retreat for a unique and relaxing experience. Being hypersensitive to noise, I was a bit worried that it would be noisy down at the harbor. I needn't have worried, because other than a little noise very early in the morning with boats leaving the harbor, it was quiet and peaceful . With only 5 staterooms on the small boat and with good separation between rooms, we didn't hear any noise from the other rooms. Our room with a king bed was cozy but not cramped. Its furnishings also included a chair, a table, and 2 bedside tables with drawers. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The bathroom was compact with limited but adequate counter space and a large, wonderful shower. We enjoyed looking at the boats and even saw a seal outside our window. The breakfast was extraordinary with a breakfast bar with beautiful fresh fruit, a selection of pastries and other delights. The main course was a choice between a sweet or savory entree which was cooked to your personal preference. Happy hour beverages and snacks were much appreciated and were delicious. Perhaps the best thing about the Newport Belle was the friendliness and warmth of the owners Paige and Randy. Parking for the Belle is in a lot across the street. There is a somewhat steep ramp leading down to the boat from street level which could be an issue for the mobility impaired.
I'll have to agree with everyone else. This was an awesome experience. It was so quaint and unique. It felt very steady not like you were on a boat at all. The beds were amazing and the room well appointed. The host and hostess were engaging and available. They were so kind and happy to help in any way. I was going to post a bunch of pictures and videos but decided not to after I saw all the great pictures here. Very well represented in photos. We'll be back as soon as we can get reservations. OK, I'll post a few. BTW we were in room 1.
The staff and the place simply outstanding. The owner was on site and we were lucky enough to have the whole place to myself. The made chowder for us which was above and beyond. The beer, coffee, snacks were great. Excellent location and nice views of the bridge at sunset. We’ll be back and will continue to recommend the place to our friends.
Staying at the Newport Belle was even better than we expected. The hosts, Randy and Paige, are friendly and accommodating, the breakfasts were fantastic, and happy hour had a nice variety of libations to choose from. The rooms are small, but well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. We wish we could have stayed longer! It was our favorite spot during our Oregon Coast vacation.
At my age (72) I love experiences. My stay at the Newport Belle didn't disappoint. Paige and Randy were friendly, accommodating, and welcoming hosts. They saw to every detail down to the happy hour and gourmet breakfast. This refurbished steamboat is unique. One of the best places I've ever stayed. I recommend staying there.
