Truly the best!!!
It is really hard to pinpoint one part of staying at The Black Walnut Inn that stood out as it all did! It was truly a magical time with my best girl friend! We stayed 3 nights and each day was better than the previous - if that is possible! Upon our arrival we were greeted by Anna with a glass of wine and a tour! Our room was over the top lovely and from there, each and every moment kept getting better and better! Our first evening spent by the fire with music and glassy baby candles and other guests was simply so lovely. The next morning the breakfast was the best and truly felt like we were somewhere else with the service and the atmosphere! The stay kept getting better and better with the lovely staff (Anna, Hope, Caroline, Sierra and Logan) For our last night we were the only guests there and felt like royalty. Thank you!!! I have and will continue to recommend and will most definitely be back. What a gem and lovely and extremely classy place you have! The attention to detail everywhere you look . . wow! Can't wait to experience it in lovely weather! We had snow and constant rain and wind but it did not damper our stay in the slightest! Just made us want to experience it in lovely weather because we can only imagine. Thank you again.

Nice hotel disappointing room
The hotel and grounds are very nice! The rooms not so much Our room had only one chair and a bed. No closet, no where to put your luggage or clothes. No place in the bathroom to even set your toothbrush or hang up a towel when finished. Literally all your stuff goes on the floor. If you want somewhere to put things you need to pay $100 more for a better room. Ours was $550 at the time

Lovely setting
We had a restful stay at Black Walnut Inn. The accommodations are uniquely beautiful and peaceful. The made to order breakfast was delicious and quite an extravagant treat. We had a suite which was large and very comfortable. A few things were disappointing. There was no full length mirror in the room. The bath tub was big and inviting, but the glass doors to the bathroom allowed no privacy for bathing. The toilet/shower area was tiny and awkward. The mini bar area was large, with three drawers but no utensils, no plates, no napkins or even a “kitchen” towel to clean up a spill. We had a cracked mug which bled tea all over the counter and we didn’t have anything to clean up the mess. It was a shame to use a bathroom towel for a spill. Overall a beautiful stay, but when we pay top dollar, we have high expectations.

Amazing - Tuscany in the Dundee Hills!
The Black Walnut Inn and Vineyard is an amazingly beautiful property in a beautiful location - overlooking vineyards, the Willamette Valley and Mt. Hood off in the distance. Great wineries and restaurant options in the area and Chef Chase is an incredible chef, so make sure to eat one dinner at the Inn - and of course every morning you will be treated to his wonderful cooking! We stayed in rooms 7 &9 and loved our rooms - great views from inside the room and the outside balcony and sitting areas.

Perfectly wonderful
The Black Walnut was recommended by friends that had stayed here in the past. This inn did not disappoint. We stayed four nights. Beautiful Italian style building in a beautiful setting. We felt like we were in Tuscany. The rooms were well appointed and clean. Such a friendly and helpful staff. The breakfasts were full of wonderfully delicious choices made to order. We loved the Black Walnut!
