Delightful stay in Ashland
We've made an annual pilgrimage to Ashland for several years now to sample the Shakespeare Festival and always stay at the Bayberry. The accommodations are wonderful and the breakfast scrumptious. And we always have a great time meeting fellow festival goers at breakfast and learning about plays we haven't seen yet and other great things to do in town, including the best wineries to visit. Francesca always has great tips and recommendations as well. I'm vegan and she always makes a great vegan version of whatever the other patrons are eating. And it's a nice walk into town, so we don't have to bother with parking. I can't recommend this place highly enough.
Great place to stay in Ashland
We stayed at the Bayberry Inn for four nights in October. We have been coming to the Shakespeare Festival for many years and have stayed in several different places. We finally got to the Bayberry Inn four or five years ago and have returned every year since. Francesca is such a gracious host and the rooms are so comfortable that it feels like a second home. We especially like the creative breakfasts and the great conversations that occur around the big breakfast table. We try to keep our mornings lightly scheduled because breakfast conversations tend to be so interesting. The Inn is also the perfect distance from the Shakespeare Festival to give us a bit of needed exercise but also allow us to easily walk back to the Inn after evening plays.
Bayberry Inn Always our First Choice in Ashland
My mom and I've been visiting Ashland for the past 10 years for the Shakespeare Festival. We've stayed in several inns, but our favorite is hands-down, Bayberry Inn. Francesca is a warm and wonderful hostess. She has a beautiful place with comfortable bedrooms; her breakfasts and homemade cookies are delicious. It's a treat to stay here and we look forward to it all year.
Francesca stayed open for us
We booked well in advance for our trip down the coast and it was so nice that she didn't close when she planned to, because we had booked a lot in advance. Her b&b is so welcoming, had very comfortable beds, the softest sheets I've ever felt. We only stayed one night as we were passing through but would have loved to stay longer. And thanks to Karen for checking us in.
Excellent in every way.
This is the second time we stayed at the Bayberry Inn. We initially chose to stay there because it was dog-friendly. We came back again this year for a longer stay because we found the inn to be so inviting, comfortable, and friendly. We stayed in the same room both years because it's one of two rooms reserved for people with pets. The room and bathroom are on the small side but the bed is very comfortable and everything was well kept. The common sitting room is quite elegant and well- appointed. It truly feels as though you're staying in someone's home. A delicious breakfast is served around a large dining table that affords the opportunity to meet other guests and exchange information about the plays. The centre of Ashland is an easy 10 minute walk. Francesca is a superb innkeeper, She anticipated and worked with us to arrange for theatre tickets with great seats. Made restaurant reservations for us, and provided alot of personal attention. We felt well taken care of. We brought along a friend at the last minute and Francesca moved things around to make sure she was provided with a room to accommodate her disability. Francesca arranged walker-accessible seats at the theatre without our asking. A great stay all around. When we return to Ashland we will stay at the Bayberry Inn for our third stay. Highly recommended
