Comfort and Luxury on the Coast
We spent a luxurious two nights at the Inn earlier this week. It was such a wonderful two days. The inn keeper, Emma, is gracious, helpful and welcoming. Our room was delightful, a large very comfortable bed, a tub with jets and a sweet elevated round area that is perfect for sipping a hot beverage and reading. The amenities are very enjoyable, coffee, tea and snacks are always available on the main floor. An adjoining room with a large fireplace is a great place to hang out and read, or play one of the board games or perhaps enjoy a glass of wine. There is a small but impressive breakfast menu featuring new dishes daily. It is easy to tell that the chef loves what he is making because the dishes are creative, delicious and feature fresh ingredients. Because of the care taken with attention to detail and welcoming atmosphere, it seems to me that this Inn could be a perfect place for a special event.
🏰 This dreamy B&B was like a Hallmark movie.
Just book it. The property was gorgeous, the staff generous & breakfasts were top-notch. There was a private beach right across the street through a secret path. So peaceful, I can't wait to get back.
A "Mixed Bag"
Enjoyed our two night stay this July. High end property, but with some detractions. Going to list the high points and the weak ones: * Beautiful lodge; modern amenities but quaint. Plenty of parking. * Spacious. Uncrowded. Felt like we had the run of the place. * Small but very nice grounds, esp in the back with some wild area abutting. * Very friendly staff. * Nice furnishing / decoration. Comfortable bed & furniture. * Quite a lot of wildlife in area - we saw Elk on property twice. * Breakfast was very good, but not outstanding. Afternoon plate was nice. * 6 miles south of Canon Beach town which we loved (food, shops, activities) - Only slight set-back from US Hwy 101, so you get direct road noise until after 9pm - No direct beach access, but only 200 yards or so away - but you have to cross US 101 on foot or by car and there is no intersection or crosswalk. - Bathroom design odd. Ours had lots of room but no counter space at all. Big step down ledge to tub. Shower water pressure was so-so. - Back patio had little furniture: one bare little metal table, 2 chairs, no umbrella. Couple lawn chairs on grass.... ???? - Room lacked some basics like facial tissue. None on site, asked several times but never received. Apparently no snacks or drinks available other than water and coffee and some wine with the afternoon plate. While we enjoyed our visit I cannot say that the price was justified based on our experience. We stayed at nicer places for the same or less $$$ on this trip. Take the amenities and service up to Four Seasons level, make the back patio a key lounging space would go a long way.
Deceptive advertising - Bad Service - Jaded Rooms
Deceptive advertising. There is no good views of the bay. The inn is not facing the bay at all. The rooms are jaded. The inn needs repairs. Two windows in our room, don't close. The tub and the toilet were dirty. The TV did not work. And there's no cell reception for even calls, unless you join their WiFi. They are over-rated, over-priced ($500+) and have bad service. The "Wine Hour" is a joke! She just poured a glass of wine and gave us a small plate of 4 slices of cheese, 2 crackers and a couple of grapes on a plate to share. Then she disappeared and was not seen afterwards. Innkeeper is not there after 5:30pm. She leaves and guests are on their own. There's no food to buy if you want to stay overnight. It's far from town. Nearest restaurants are 15 minutes away. Stay away!
A stay at Arch Cape, Oregon
Nice accommodations, large room, good view of the beach and sunset and close to beach. Breakfast was good to excellent. Staff were excellent. The welcome cheese tray was well done and tasty and the wine was excellent. I would stay there again.
