Paulina Visitor Center

Visitor information is available 24 hours a day at the information center in the front of the Paulina Visitor center, which is the interpretive hub for the Newberry Caldera. Inside, visitors can find a helpful Forest Service ranger and a Discover Your Forest bookstore where maps, books and various souvenirs are available for purchase. This is also the only self-service, 24 hour pay station in the caldera.

Recreation Fee Site: Parking at this site requires a recreation pass May 1 – September 30. Passes are available at this site, but can also be purchased from Forest Service offices or vendors. Please check here for more information about recreation passes and where they can be purchased.

Acceptable passes include:

  • Interagency Annual Pass
  • Interagency Senior Pass (America the Beautiful, Golden Age)
  • Interagency Access Pass

There is limited parking at the Paulina Visitor Center, whic is housed in an historic Forest Service Guard Station. There is a toilet available across the street.
