My friend has taken many other visitors here and booked our 2 reservations a week prior to my arrival. When we showed up this morning, we were told the water was too shallow in the canyon, so it would not be included in the excursion. We had already paid $100 each when it was booked. There was no mention of the shortened tour on the booking site. It normally lasts close to 4 hours, and was only 3 hours due to the shorter ride. It should have been discounted by $25. The company is paying for less fuel than they normally do. I understand the water level is out of their control, but advising prospective customers ahead, and offering a discount if they still choose to go, would be better business. Our driver, Bo, was excellent. It was fun. But I’m dropping a star due to the other issue.
I was very apprehensive at 75 but it was an amazing experience. Everyone was helpful and kind. It was the highlight of our month long adventure. Bo is an amazing narrator and he made us all fell like family the first 10 minutes of our 4 hours with him. The food was a 10+ and the service above and beyond. Highly recommend.

We did the 2 hour trip. Fantastic ride, plenty of adrenaline and getting a little wet. Wildlife included eagles, Osprey, turtles, eagles, herons, etc. Boat captain was professional and gave us a fun ride. If you sit at the back of the boat you might consider earplugs, but the roar of the engines was part of the fun.
This was my second trip with Hellgate Jetboat excursions and was even better this time! The last time was 5 yrs ago. We got so wet and had so much fun and laughter. The driver was excellent and informative and funny. The only negative is that the water is low and we weren't able to go all the way to Hellgate Hole. But it was a fun trip and the other people on the boat seemed to have fun too.
