  Disappointing

  We did The Mississippi food tour. The cost was $115 pp. there were 5 of us so with expected tip it was around $700. Definitely not worth that! We went to four places - a bbq food cart where we had a slice or two of brisket with bread and slaw. A Thai place where we had a small noodle salad and small glass of wine, a brewery where we had two tastes of beer, a fritter, a bite of caprese salad and a couple bites of cheese and apple slice. We ended at a vegan ice cream place with one scoop of ice cream. Couldn’t have been more than $50 worth of food pp. it says in the description to come hungry because it is a lot of food - it wasn’t! Tour guide, Hannah, was nice. I would recommend doing something else - you could get a fabulous dinner and drinks somewhere for this amount of money! I have been on a number of food tours - this one was the worst.

  Awesome Tour for Foodies!

  We had an amazing time on our Downtown Portland Food Tour! We had great food, tasty drinks, and a wide variety of food offerings. Heidi gave us lots of info about the Portland food scene and history as we went along. In addition, she provided many restaurant recommendations for the rest of our stay in Portland and they certainly didn't disappoint...some of the best food we had on our whole trip. Thanks, Heidi!

  Great tour for foodies!

  My wife and I just took the downtown Portland food tour with Heidi. We had an awesome time! Heidi is the friendliest guide and was very knowledgeable when it came to both the food and drink we were trying and the history of the restaurants we were visiting. She's very passionate about her city. The food at each stop was delicious and paired with a great drink. We would highly recommend Heidi and Forktown Food Tours!

  The way to see the REAL downtown Portland without risk of injury or uprising.

  My motives were focused and steadfast. How might a gentleman with little or no fear inject himself into the genuine downtown Portland scene without causing my Wife to be skittish? We had both witnessed the insanity that ensued in the name of protesting. I call it crime. Most should’ve been jailed, or worse, for adequate periods of time to modify behavior. Then along came Heidi, our magical light in a jaded world. Our minds turned from Molotov cocktails to creative cocktails as she whisked us to each unique downtown Portland establishment to pair fresh food with accompanying drink. She cajoled me into eating and enjoying beats, award winning bread with duck, dreamy pasta, and finally REAL chocolate. All this was accomplished with an effortless narrative as she revealed useful facts about Portland and the food we were ingesting culminating in discussion with a true chocolatier. JFK, crop circles, and the creation of turkey sausage have nothing in substance of conspiracy compared to the bastardization and melding of chocolate into the candy realm. The public has been duped by Hershey’s kisses and Reese’s cups. The Truth of chocolate is out there and discovered on this tour. Thank you Heidi for the fun time. The World needs more people who are great at their job and doing what they love.

  Memories to Last a Lifetime!

  I recently returned from a Tuscan food and wine tour with a group of friends organized and led by Heidi with Forktown Food Tours, it was without a doubt one of the best curated and most thoughtful tours I've ever attended. Heidi is so easy to work with and did an amazing job of anticipating our needs and far exceeded any expectations I had before the trip.
