Perfect One Day at Crater Lake

If you have only one full day to spend at Crater Lake, a private tour with Rogue Trotter Tours is the best decision you can make! Nathan is a local expert who shared fascinating insights about the history of the lodge, the geography of Crater Lake as well as the biodiversity and the wildlife of the park. From the seamless hotel pickup to the delicious provided lunch, every detail was handled perfectly. Nathan adjusted the hiking trails to fit our comfort level perfectly. The highlight was definitely visiting the spots, such as Annie Springs to fill our water bottles with fresh spring water, that regular tourists don't know about. We could not have had a better day at the park.

Unique Trip to the Oregon Caves

What an exciting day trip to the Oregon Caves National Monument! Our group was privileged to have special experts to inform and show us the unique, historical features at the Caves. Roguetrotters was very flexible, accommodating, and informative. If you're looking for a National Monument that it's as well known as most, this is the trip for you--with Roguetrotters.

    Excellent Day at Crater Lake

I was inspired to visit Crater Lake after viewing a few of Nathan Dwyer's video blogs. Booking a private tour was a great decision because Nathan provided a wealth of information while patiently answering my endless questions. In addition to being an excellent driver and wonderful host, Nathan was a passionate, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic storyteller tour guide. His descriptions of the land and pioneer days of Crater Lake National Park brought historical facts to life. I am forever grateful to Nathan for creating such a memorable and exciting adventure!

Loved visiting Rogue River area of Oregon, CA redwoods & Pacific coast views!

I recently had the distinct pleasure of witnessing how Nathan Dwyer's experience and knowledge added so much as I was on twin tours in early August with my wife and sister-in-law. We engaged RogueTrotter as we traveled in early August to tour Crater Lake National Park and to take in the California Redwoods and Pacific Coast coastline experience. Both days left us with great memories and experiences of the Rogue River area and beyond. While we could have driven the same roads and witnessed many similar views, it would not have been the same learning experience for a Seattle resident and a central Wisconsin couple. Learning the history surrounding the story of Crater Lake was fascinating, and we had a bonus experience of witnessing literally thousands of colorful moths riding the wind current updraft from the lakebed to the upper reaches of the crater surroundings, likely a once-in-a-lifetime special experience. We found the extra stop at Siskiyou Smokejumper Museum in Cave Junction to be a special treat as we learned of the special history of this brave group who snuffed out countless wildfires over the years during the last century before marveling at the California redwoods at Jedediah Smith Redwoods park area; later eating our picnic lunch along the Pacific coast north of Crescent City, CA to the 'music' of barking sea lions on the nearby island. And a further stop to take in the uniqueness of the Pitcher Plants at Darlingtonia Bog was yet another memory maker. What a pair of days of seeing things before unknown to us! Thank you, ROGUETROTTER TRAVEL!

    Perfect

My husband and I were able to take the back to back tours with Nathan....Crater Lake and the Redwood tours. Our two days were perfect. Nathan was very knowledgeable and extremely considerate of our needs. We learned so much from him and we are very thankful we were able to tour with Nathan. If in the Oregon area please look him up----you won't be disappointed.
