BEST TOUR WE HAD IN OREGON

It just felt real good hanging with Nathan. My wife and I touring Oregon, top to bottom, had done a number of specialized tours with various guides in many environments. So the time had come to check out Crater Lake and surrounding majesty. Roguetrotter Tour van (really clean and nice) shows up on time with Nathan at the wheel (excellent driver). We proceed outward, tourists, into a foggy,...not great weather, high mountain adventure. Mother Nature giving it to us straight. Nathan explained so many elements about what we could see and couldn't see. Showed us everything. He talked patience. It paid off. At the top, the crater rim, we were gifted with a short glimpse of the whole picture as the clouds and fog opened up. It was indeed brief....but we would have missed it without Nathan's intuition and guidance. We saw Crater Lake in less than ideal conditions (still crazy beautiful) and Nathan made it magical. He loves this stuff. He and his team really know the region. And the science. And the geology. We got back to our hotel right on time feeling lifted and enlightened. Big day. It just felt real good hanging with Nathan.

Fabulous tour

I booked a private tour of the Redwoods and Crescent City for my son and I. It was an amazing day. Nathan brought us to several interesting stops along the way. He was so knowledgeable and professional. We learned so much and enjoyed our day immensely. I highly recommend Roguetrotter.

So much to see! You won't be disappointed!

My daughter and I started planning this trip to Oregon months ago...She wanted to see the Redwood Forest and I wanted to see Crater Lake. The Roguetrotter Tour Co. had the best of both worlds, so we booked private tours to Crater Lake National Park and National Redwood Forest. Nathan was an amazing tour guide! He has so much fascinating knowledge about the history, geography and wildlife of southern Oregon and northern California! He tailored the tours to our interests, and we got to see not only the National Parks, but also many unique places along the way, such as a fish hatchery, an elk herd, the Siskiyou Smoke Jumper Museum, the Natural Bridge and living quarters for the CCC during the Great Depression.

Perfect One Day at Crater Lake

If you have only one full day to spend at Crater Lake, a private tour with Rogue Trotter Tours is the best decision you can make! Nathan is a local expert who shared fascinating insights about the history of the lodge, the geography of Crater Lake as well as the biodiversity and the wildlife of the park. From the seamless hotel pickup to the delicious provided lunch, every detail was handled perfectly. Nathan adjusted the hiking trails to fit our comfort level perfectly. The highlight was definitely visiting the spots, such as Annie Springs to fill our water bottles with fresh spring water, that regular tourists don't know about. We could not have had a better day at the park.
