Recognition Programs

Rare Earth Adventures provides outdoor guide services and educational courses in the Pacific Northwest.

Guided trips include but are not limited to summiting Mt. St. Helens, summiting Mt. Adams, backpacking on the Pacific Crest Trail (women’s and LGBTQIA+ dates available), back-country skiing and split-boarding, and snowshoeing. Don’t see an activity here, or want a special trip just for your group? Rare Earth is happy to work with you to arrange a private tour.

Rare Earth frequently partners with the non-profit organization Climb for Hope, to raise money to fight multiple sclerosis and breast cancer on fundraiser climbs on Mt. Rainier, Pico de Orizaba, and in the Grand Canyon.

    Awesome all women backpacking on PCT

    I hiked the all women’s pct tour with our guide and 6 of us. Awesome adventure. Kaylee Lettau was our guide and she had us well prepared with her advance zoom meeting and the info she sent out. Her goal was to prepare us to backpack on our own and so she also shared her knowledge on safety, stoves, maps, water filtering, and coached us on how to pack our packs and use trekking poles. We hiked the Washington side of the PCT…beautiful views of Adams, St Helens, and Hood. Lots of wildflowers. And lots of tree logs to clamber over from winter storms. The PCT relies on volunteers to clear. Kaylee was by our side helping us to safely get over the downed trees. A great experience with her and Rare Earth!

    Memorial Trip

    We took on Mt St. Helens for a day climb. Our guide Jennah was fantastic, knowledgeable, patient and very professional. She made this adventure even more special with her considerations. Thank you Jennah and special mention to Rosemary & Kelsey too. Karen thank you for joining us!!!

    Alpine Skills & Snow Camping Trip

    I had a great time on the alpine skills trip on St Helens and highly recommend it! Our guide, Hannah, was very experienced and made me feel at ease the entire trip. If you are interested in learning snow camping skills and educating yourself on safe alpine travel, this trip with Hannah is a must!

    Unforgettable

    My friend and I signed up for the 4 day all women's beginning backpacking trip on the PCT through the beautiful Mt. Hood wilderness. We wanted to challenge ourselves and have an unforgettable experience with like minded women. This trip did not disappoint! Rare Earth Adventures was very organized and the guides were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend this trip to anyone!
