An amazing experience!
This was the highlight of all of our excursions offered as an extra package on the American Queen Voyages. It did not disappoint! The scenery was unbelievable, there was history to absorb, and the adrenaline rush through the rapids was amazing!

Thrilling River Trip
Do not miss this tour! We did full day but would do half day because would have been enough. Boat flies up river over rough waters with ease. Ride is smooth but thrilling. Stops to have a break along the way where you can eat. The history itself is fascinating! Highly recommend this trip.

City of Mountain Home Parks and Recreation
We took 23 people go on a Hells Canyon Adventure trip in late September and they were a very happy group going home. I thought to myself, it is very hard to take a trip down and river and not have a big smile on your face. That is what I saw of our people yesterday. They talked about everything they saw and how much fun they had. I would say the average age for our group was mid 60’s and they were like a bunch of teenagers talking about it. For most of them, it was the first time they had done something like this. On the drive there, I heard one lady say, this is a once in time trip, due to the windy road. On the way back home. She said that the windy road was worth the trip, and she would do it again. I also herd so many compliments on how great the lunch was that was provided. Your people do a fantastic job, and we will be booking more trip with Hells Canyon Adventure. Thank You all from the City of Mountain Home Parks and Recreation!!!

Highly Recommended!!!
Highly recommended!!! This was a last minute addition to my travels in mid September. The day before at around 4:45 I went down to the dock to speak with the Captain, Cody. Lots of information provided and very helpful. Based on Cody’s guidance I returned at 9:00 am. The girl in the visitor’s center called HCA. David was very pleasant and added me to their list of passengers for the day. (I wouldn’t count on this working out in the mist of high season.). Dylan, the captain, and David, his very capable assistant, gave a great day to all. There were only eight on the boat. (Dylan said during high season the boat would be full. 32 passengers.). David was very attentive to a gentleman in his 80’s that needed assistance getting on/off the boat and walking up the slightly steep riverbank. Lunch was very tasty. The guy/host at the second stop was lovely. He insisted I go to the fig tree to try them. I ate three figs right off the tree. Delicious! Dylan provided continuous commentary regarding the wildlife, rapids and fishing boats on the river throughout the boat ride. David chimed in too. They make a good pair. It was a great day.
