Helfrich River Outfitters is a fourth-generation family-owned and operated outfitter. Getting started on the McKenzie River in 1922 and expanding out to explore other rivers from there, the Helfrich family was among the first river outfitters in the west.
Helfrich River Outfitters’ primary goal for each trip is to provide a “trip with fishing” instead of just a fishing trip. While the fishing is always important, they also focus their attention on other features of the trip such as the food and accommodations and do their best to make them the greatest they can be. It is this focus on quality and their love of sharing the river that has become fondly known in the industry as “The Helfrich Way.”
