Just west of Salem, in the heart of Oregon’s wine growing region, are the quaint communities of Monmouth and Independence. With small-town charm, enhanced by welcoming residents that are happy to share antique shops, galleries and wineries, the ambience is comfortable and relaxed. Set along the scenic Willamette River, Independence’s outdoor, natural amphitheater hosts community celebrations and musical performances.
