Home to some of Oregon’s richest farmland, it is only natural that Canby is one of the state’s top destinations for fall festivals. Test your skills in celebration of the harvest at St. Josef’s Annual Grape Stomping Festival. Or welcome October with a ride on the Flower Farmer’s 15-inch narrow-gauge Phoenix and Holly Railroad. The train takes kids out to the pumpkin patch and hay maze, while kids big and small will rub their eyes to see if the grand-prize winner at the Fir Point Farms Giant Pumpkin Weigh-off truly tips the scales at more than 1,500 pounds! Local farm stands scatter the landscape and a variety of restaurants and shops in town make it easy to make a day of it in Canby.
