Show more info about Umatilla

On the shores of the Columbia River west of Pendleton, Umatilla saw its heyday during the western gold rush. Today life in this small town is enriched by the river. The Umatilla National Wildlife Refuge comes alive with burrowing owls, badgers, deer and migratory birds. Hit the links at the Big River Golf Course, check out spawning chinook and steelhead at the fish hatchery, or explore the treasures of the mighty Columbia by boat.

Eastern Oregon

Umatilla is located in Eastern Oregon, where miles of scenic byways, alpine wilderness, working cattle ranches and basalt canyons are still the place for explorers to make their mark.

Nearby cities are: Hermiston, Echo, Boardman, and Pendleton.
