Named for a 19th-century pioneer who also ran a ferry here, Maupin and its history long been tied to the Deschutes River. Today you can enjoy the river in myriad ways: book a rafting or fly-fishing trip, or just enjoy the rich animal and bird life with a hike along the water.

Central Oregon

Maupin is located in Central Oregon, home to alpine lakes, sparkling rivers, snowy mountains, sage-brush plains and Smith Rock, a rock-climber's paradise.

Nearby cities are: Dufur, Shaniko, The Dalles, and Antelope.
