Villa Catalana was inspired by a 12th Century stone church in Spain's Catalonia district and built by husband and wife team, Cindy and Burl Mostul. Two of their wines won gold medals at the 2015 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. Visitors are welcome to the conservatory tasting room filled with tropical plants and can wander the extensive gardens and bring food for a picnic. Burl Mostul makes all their wine on site and include Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Syrah, Petite sirah, Cabernet Souvignon, Merlot, Grenache Rose, a red blend, and Cascade Berry Fortified wine liquor.

I can't decide which was more stunning at this hidden gem. The lovely stone architecture or the gorgeous gardens and surrounding walkways. Lime and olive trees, eucalyptus, cactus, and so many flowers, vines and bushes. My husband and I felt like we stepped into a countryside winery in Spain or Italy. The Pinots, Sauvignon Blanc were delicious and we even lucked out by going on a day when there was an opera singer sharing her voice with the crowd. $15 a person for 6 generous tastes is unheard of these days!!! Tastings are offered only on Saturdays from 1-4 pm, and they require a reservation. You can bring your own food/picnic. We really enjoyed learning about the owners' journey and how they built this must see paradise tucked away in Oregon City. I will be going back many more times and bringing friends!

Such a lovely setting. After others had recommended this winery and we were looking forward to the experience of Villa Catalana. Alas, we were very sadly disappointed in the quality of the wine.

Loved visiting this winery. Wine was excellent, amid the gardens and setting was exceptional. Take a picnic and enjoy the flowers and trees and views!

Fanatically Amazing!
An absolute must go to place while visiting Oregon City. Take your own picnic lunch, cheese and/or charcuterie or order their brick oven pizza as soon as you arrive. I enjoyed my wine tasting experience very much. I sat in several different places while drinking my wine and walked around the magnificent gardens. It’s fantastically amazing!

Exelent place to visit, will go again definitely!! It is dog friendly too!! Great wine to taste and some Saturday’s they have buffet at a very reasonable price!!
