Grab your friends and kick off the holiday weekend with an educational wine class exploring the terroir of the Willamette Valley. What makes the Willamette Valley special? Why does Pinot Noir do so well in this climate? Where will the industry go in the future? We’ll answer these questions and more in this hour-long class while enjoying a tasting of five wines paired with delicious cheese and charcuterie.
Beth Richman, WSET Level 3 & CSW, will lead the conversation and tasting as you explore the history of the wine industry in the valley and taste through a wide variety of wines from three different sub-AVAs – Ribbon Ridge, Dundee Hills, and Yamhill-Carlton. You’ll walk away with a deeper appreciation for the Willamette Valley and maybe even a bottle or two of a new favorite!

The Allison Inn & Spa is kicking off Memorial Day weekend with a special evening featuring Durant at Red Ridge Farms, along with owner and winemaker Paul Durant.
The evening begins with a welcome reception and interactive tour of the 1.5-acre working garden, led by Master Gardener Anna Ashby. With a glass of sparkling wine in hand, hors d’oeuvres are served along the way.
While dinner is being prepared on the live fire nearby, warm up your palate with a unique sampling of award-winning Durant Olive Mill oils. This hands-on activity is as entertaining as it is educational.
During the multi-course family-style dinner prepared by JORY’s culinary team, savor Durant wine pairings and engage in charismatic conversations with Paul Durant throughout the meal.
