About Merle Law at Historic Balch Hotel

Merle Law is a Portland-based singer-songwriter with deep roots in New Orleans and the Northeast.

Born Meredith Law to a Philly drummer and a singer from south Louisiana, her music carries a Southern undercurrent. Formerly performing under the name Palm Sunday, Merle released the debut album Wishful Thinking showcasing deep, emotional vocals. Known for a style described as “timeless in nature with genre-bending qualities,” Merle’s next full-length album is set to release in 2025.
