The sweeping hillsides and cliffsides of Prineville Reservoir create a stunning backdrop for this guided kayak tour. Paddle with interpretive staff and learn about local geology, area history, water cycle and the plants and animals of the High Desert. Allow up to 3 hours for the tour, including pre-launch gear setup and post-launch check in.
Kayak, paddle and PFD provided. Single kayak rental costs $25; tandem (2 seats) costs $40.
Minimum age: Children 8 – 11 must ride with an adult in a tandem kayak, 12 – 17 may ride in a single – all children must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs are not allowed on the kayak tour.
