Amazing out-of-the-way gem!!

We were doing a Southern Oregon wine weekend with a final stop in Klamath Falls - although that last stop was not what we would consider “wine country”. Just a half hour further south is the sleepy little town of Merril, and on Front Street (Hwy 39 as it goes through town) is the tasting room for a vineyard you passed just north of town to get to it. We were greeted for our pre-scheduled tasting & tour in the cute little tasting room by the vintner’s daughter, and treated to one of the most fun tastings we’ve had (and we’ve had quite a few)! She let us take our time and discussed each and every variety & blend that they produce. Many were not only delicious, but surprisingly different from similar varieties we’ve tasted elsewhere. They have Albariño, Marechal Foch, St. Croix, Marquette, Frontenac (also a Frontenac Gris), Pinot Noir, and several red blends. Particularly surprised & enjoyed their Marquette - walked away with a few of those! 🥰🍷 After a fun & educational tasting, we went to the vines for the tour. Our timing was lucky as most of the varieties are either imminent to harvest, or closed enough they’ve had to net against the birds. We got to walk along the vines and see, smell, touch & even taste a little. Amazing! Lastly, back to the tasting room for a little munch & figure out what we had room to take home with us. If you are headed to Klamath Falls, or Medford, you should put this stop on your list of “must do”!!

I went with to a paint night/wine tasting! Such a fun girls night lots of laugh GREAT pizza! Such an amazing place to have in our community will be back for sure!

AMAZING wine tour and tasting experience

This winery is small, but they make very good wines. It is a family operation and the main creator has been making wine for 10 years and he just started to sell it. The whole experience was so much fun. You get to taste all of their wines and then get to take a glass of your favorite to the vineyard tour. It was educational, and the wine was delicious! Then, you come back and they make an outstanding charcuterie board to eat. You get to relax with some more wine and chat with the family. It was one of the best winery tours I have been on. I cannot wait to go back.
