Damn. Wasn’t expecting such a great meal!!!! The desk clerk at Comfort Inn recommended this place. We got 2 ribeyes, salad, loaded potatoes, grilled veggies and 2 beers, for $62.00. All, delicious!!! If I lived here, I’d eat here every day!! Service was great. I highly recommend this location!!!

Great food and drinks and fun time with Bob the Bartender/Server
We were in The Dalles one night as part of a two month road trip and having lived in Germany for two years, whenever I see a German Restaurant I take the opportunity to relive my glory days which weren’t all the glorious yet memorable. It was 115 degrees which I’m sure is some kind of record for The Dalles so some beer was definitely in order. My wife and I started with a double Jameson which we used to chase some very hoppy IPA beer called Elysian Space Dust. For an appetizer we shared a fondue that had sausage and bread for dipping and then shared the Veal Schnitzel with Spaetzle, steamed veggies and a salad with Bleu Cheese. The food was excellent as were the drinks and the service was outstanding. We were fortunate to have Bob the bartender/server as the person that took care of us. He’s an older gentleman that is a hard working fun guy. Don’t know when I’ll be back in The Dalles, but when I am this is my new go to place! Highly recommend!

Five of us greeted, sat down at large, clean corner table. Great live band playing great tunes, served drinks quickly. Food order taken and delivered quickly. Plenty of other folks here as well - all enjoying themselves. Band wrapped things up at 9 sharp and soon the place was empty and being cleaned up. Glad we made the decision to come here. Not a fan of their German Sausage. Halibut and the Tuna sandwiches were very good. Looking forward to passing through The Dalles again, Zim's will be on our list. Gizzards are fantastic!

Great Pub fun and food
Zim's has been a go getter with great pub food and service. But dont let the "pub food" fool you, its not 19 month frozen left overs. The food is fresh and well prepared. With the COVID restrictions going on, the staff at Zims' has stepped up with delivery, and they do it really well. Friendly staff, good food, and delivery that is great, and fast (better then pizza :) THANK YOU ZIMS :) :)

Fantastic food selections!
In the middle of this pandemic, this restaurant is a bright shining light in the city of the Dalles. The management team seems to be a no fuss, no baloney group. Yet very efficient and customer service oriented. The menu was varied, And the portions were very large… We enjoyed our meal here immensely. As the Dells is largely conservative, this restaurant reflects those values. The nonsense going on in Portland probably would not fly here. They have definitely earned our repeat business.
