Surprisingly bad service, NOT nice staff, and NOT going back
The wife, 13 year old son and myself show up around 6:00 ish and were the only folks waiting. The "Host" says we will seat you in a couple of minutes. After 30 minutes, mind you....we are the only people waiting I ask the "Host" again about seating. I point out that there are 4-5 unoccupied tables in front of the bar and at least 2 more unoccupied tables in the back room, and 2-3 tables unoccupied on the porch. Everyone of these unoccupied tables are fully set with napkins, silverware, and empty water glasses. I suggest they could at least seat us in one of those? The "Host" stated he "didn't have the power to seat us." After 45 minutes waiting a dark haired woman with Tats comes out and starts doing managerial type duties at the computerized cash register. I asked her VERY nicely if there was any possibility of getting seated/waited upon and pointed to a basically empty establishment at this point. Her response? She just stared me down with a look of barely contained rage and a "You are beneath me" look, did not say a single word and just kept staring at me. SHE DID NOT REPLY A SINGLE WORD to this customer very politely seeking some type of normal customer service from a customer service-based business that supposedly is there to take my money and provide some type of customer service. She literally had a stare down with me, and I waited her out until she huffingly turned her back and stomped off. We left at that point to another restaurant and never did get any food or service of any type from Venti's. 1. I question if the fact that I am in an inter-racial family was the guiding cause of their refusal to seat us in a basically empty restaurant after arriving at a decent 6:00 PM. I did notice that all who were seated, happy and getting service were white as lily pads. 2. If it wasn't that, I question the staffing levels that caused them to basically help about 5 tables in a the restaurant that was 3/4 empty. (maybe this type of service is why they are 3/4 empty and we were the only people - besides several door dash drivers- who walked in for the 45 minutes we were waiting) 3. Has Venti's (and the restaurant industry in general) given up on the conventional walk-in customer and instead only care about take out orders now? Venti's obvious fast tracking of orders placed on door dash allows them the luxury of not caring what the walk-in customer thinks about their customer service. Focusing on door dash allows them to cut their labor to bare bones since they have given up on walk-in customers as a driver of the business. They treated the door dash drivers with respect, super quick service and actually had conversations with them. The complete opposite of my experience. 4. Lastly and most importantly, I question the response I received from the dark haired manager type lady with tats? Why would anyone in a customer service based business think they are so entitled that they don't even have to politely respond to a politely asked question from a customer? Is ownership okay with that type of presentation to the public? (Unless she was the owner and I am uselessly howling at the moon....)

CLOSED on MONDAYs (both locations)
I love Venti’s and have been to both locations a number of times. I’m just posting a review today to make sure people know that they are not open on Mondays. I called the restaurant trying to confirm due to the inconsistencies online, and their outgoing message says they are open seven days a week. They are not. I did confirm this through a Facebook message with them. Thank you Venti’s for responding so we were disappointed finding the doors closed. 😀

Sweet Potato Fries
I usually only view french fries as a vehicle for my beloved ketchup. But let me tell you these are the best sweet potato fries on Earth, and I want everyone to come and try them. I only finished about 1/8 of my dinner after the sweet potato fry appetizers. I can't even tell you. Excellent service by our waiter Bob bacon, LOL not sure what his last name is. Ambiance is amazing.

Good Food, great service.
We were in town for an appointment and had gone downtown just to have a walk and look for somewhere to eat. We happened upon Venti's and we spoke with one of the people waiting on sidewalk tables. They were very friendly and we sat down to eat. Both meals were very good. I had what was possibly the best burger I have had in months. Very much recommended.

Excellent choice
On a road trip, passing through Salem, OR., needed fresh, healthful and vegetarian. Venti’s turned out to be an excellent choice. Cannot say enough good things about the staff, the food was delicious and the local beer was very good. Should I find myself in Salem again, this will be my first choice.
