DELICIOUS!! Hands down some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. We arrived late after Mallard’s Pub at the Best Western was clearly understaffed and not prepared to accommodate the modest crowd there. All the staff here at Chicali were friendly and helpful. Even my picky 10 and 8 year olds found something tasty they enjoyed and my older one ordered seconds. Beware that the house red salsa is spicy but very yummy. The deluxe salad was huge, so fresh and possibly one of the best salads I’ve ever eaten. I had the Quesa Birra taco and it was excellent. My husband enjoyed his trio of street tacos. The food was reasonably priced which helped offset the pricey but delicious margs. Highly recommended!!

Fantastic
Best Mexican food I’ve had in years! Staff were friendly and attentive despite lines out the door. Quesa birria tacos not to be missed.

Rated 4 stars only because we weren’t offered complimentary chips and salsa! Would be nice if they offered that like every other Mexican restaurant I have been to.

Make a special effort to eat here!
On a trip with my daughter and we were tired of "same old" menus so decided on a whim to try Chicali Cantina. GREAT choice!! She had the Ranchero Shrimp Enchiladas with veggies replacing the rice and beans, and a salad. With the excellent, fresh, crisp salad she couldn't even finish all her veggies and barely managed all of the enchiladas!. Excellent! I had the Chili Relleno ala carte and it was so large and delicious that I could barely finish it! Probably the best Mexican food we had either one had in years! I DEFINIETLY recommend a stop here wherever you're anywhere near Welches! (Sorry I can't recommend their house margaritas but maybe just not to my taste.) I'd give them 5 stars for the food and would return whenever anywhere near!

Fantastic dining and drinks!
Loved it! Hip place on the mountain! Plenty of bar, table, or even couches to sit and dine! Fantastic Craft margaritas! Had beer battered fish tacos that were outstanding! Loved the open vibe! Great location and friendly staff! Authentic food! Would travel to this location from Portland just for the food!
