1st time visit. Its between the bowling alley & safeway. Not the prettiest of spots but lots of parking. We shared the bbq combo to try some different items. We got the pork shoulder & brisket. Along with coleslaw, mac n cheese & cornbread. Both meats were tender & fell apart! Slaw was vinegar not mayo & a bit spicy. Rest was great too. They gave us 2 sm cups bbq sauces so didnt have to share. Overall, we would go back. The staff was nice too! The smoker smells great when you come up to building !

Enjoyed our visit to the Black Dog in Forest Grove. They were a little understaffed when we arrived, so the wait was longer than needed. Was told it would be 15 minutes when there were plenty of tables available. After 15, got a table and then service was very quick. Server Logan was exceptional. Great personality, made sure we had what we needed and did a great job throughout our visit. Food was pretty good. Our party of three all got the Brisket. It was quite tasty, but a little to fatty for my liking. I know, it's brisket and it's full of fat, this was just a larger than normal amount. Side salads and corn bread were really good. They have a full bar and great selection of local beers on tap. Only give them four stars for the extended wait when we arrived and plenty of tables available. When we left the line to get in was out the door. Clearly a sign of a great location in Forest Grove.

Delicious Forest Grove Oregon Restaurant
Based on TA reviews, we went to Forest Grove, Oregon attempting to find this place. TA had a map that placed this restaurant in the Safeway parking lot but it is not there. It is on the West or backside of this shopping center off of 19th Ave going East on the left or North side of the road in the small business center. This restaurant did not disappoint either in the service or the food. We had a great server named Naomi who recommended several menu selections. We had the chef's created deviled eggs as an appetizer and she had a meat combination dish (ribs/brisket) with the meat being done perfectly. I had the Red Snapper fish and Chips which was a very large portion and ended up taking most of meal home with us. Great food and Service. (Our waitress Naomi apparently is moving on to bigger and better things and wish her the very best in her new career)

Can’t go wrong
This restaurant had such a modern happy atmosphere walking in. We were greeted immediately and while they were busy (it was a holiday) they kept us up to date on the wait time which ended up being not more than 5 minutes. The food was good but the drinks! *Chefs kiss* They had a nice variety of menu options and price which isn’t always easy to do. We will definitely be coming back here

Heard such great things about this place and there BBQ. Went with my family on a Friday night. Our servers were great. I ordered the BBQ plate with 2 meats. I got burnt ends and hot sausage. The burnt ends were like black rocks. Ended up eating the sausage only. For the price ($32) it was a let down.
