Solid Old-Fashioned Bakery

BaKitchen is a standard, old-style bakery with cookies, donuts, apple fritters and other regular pastries. Don’t expect flaky croissant or bear claws. What they have is good quality and just what you should expect from this style of bakery. There is no indoor seating so take-away only. There are drinks in a cooler but that’s it for the selection.

Literally stumbled upon this great little gem of a bakery. I cannot wait to work my way through Every. Single. Item, In the case! Really the best bakery I have come across; Angel could not be any nicer and the pastries are out of this world good. Worth looking for.

Love Those Maple Pershings

This little bakery doesn't look like much from the outside but the pastries are delicious. Many "American" and "Spanish" desserts to choose from. The maple pershings are the best I have ever eaten.

Really Great Mexican Pastry

Traveling through The Dalles in the late afternoon and needed a little snack to hold us over to dinner. We are from central California so we have come to enjoy wonderful Mexican pastry. Found Mike's on Tripadvisor and made the stop. Along with your standard donuts, Mike's had a great assortment of Mexican style pastry, breads, and cookies. Picked up a half dozen cookies and several pastries and they were all wonderful. Some of the best we have ever tasted. This is definitely a place to stop when looking for outstanding Mexican pastry.
