Great airport hotel!
Stayed the night before an early flight home. I had read online to request an updated room which I did and received. Our room was very nice, clean and quiet. When I called to request an early check-in the front desk clerk even offered us a room with a view of the runway which was great. We ordered food to go for dinner to enjoy in our room which was delicious. Appreciated the mini fridge in the room. After we checked in, we returned our rental car and then walked back to the hotel, which was around a 20 minute walk. Also appreciated the 24/7 shuttle service to the airport. Would definitely stay here again if we're back in the area.

Disappointing and kind of creepy
The organization I work for brought our entire staff from all over America and Canada together for a fundraiser banquet at the Portland Sheraton. While the banquet itself was fine and the public areas of the hotel were nice, my hotel room was extremely disappointing: popcorn ceiling that was falling down in areas, mold stains behind the bathroom sink, dirty bathroom vent, some sort of pink stains on the shower tile, rust stains in the bathtub, only two very small drawers for storage, and spotty housekeeping service. In fact, upon returning to our room the first night, we found that someone had emptied the trash in the bathroom (but not in the bedroom area), had taken the opened and used bar of soap (but didn't leave a new bar of soap!), and the bed had not been made - it was a very strange feeling! Topping it was being able to hear the person in the room next to us giggling loudly -- it was a surreal feeling because it was so loud that it sounded like the person was in our room! Very creepy. After the first night we asked for a room change and were told the hotel was sold out. In talking to others on our staff, we found they had similar concerns about their rooms, so a room change probably wouldn't have helped. All in all, while the meeting rooms and banquet facilities were adequate, given the choice I would not stay at this hotel again.

Excellent airport hotel
It's an airport hotel but we were surprised how nice it is! The staff were ALL wonderful (with special thanks to Mary Gladys for being so welcoming and helpful). The shuttle is reliable. The room was comfy. I am a huge fan of the water filler stations on each floor. Absolutely perfect stay near the airport.

Convenient location
Very nice hotel. Located next to the airport so it’s convenient for a late arrival or early departure. Whirlpool spa is available 24 hours. Only complaint was that my shower didn’t have hot water which I was told was due to issues with their new water heater

A decent bed for a night
This hotel is nothing special, as many other reviews have noted. I ended up here when I got stranded in Portland for the night and just needed something comfortable for the night close to the airport. It did the job. Check in was relatively quick. All three receptionists were initially huddled with one customer who was having an issue of some kind, but after a few minutes one of them peeled off and helped me. There was no recognition of my Bonvoy Platinum status nor any upgrade offered, but this seems to be becoming the norm. Arriving around 10pm, I was hungry but the restaurant bar was crowded and loud, and signage indicated food stopped at 10. No room service available as far as I could tell. The room was small but clean and comfortable. The only issue I noted was that the shower, while wonderfully powerful, didn’t drain well, so I was left standing in a growing pool of water. All in all it’s a fine place to stay for a night, but I’m sure there are better and more interesting Marriott properties nearby.
