Comfortable, quiet, fun amenities
The suites and are large and clean. Breakfast is included and quite good. A pool, whirlpool, pickleball courts, and fire pits make for nice ambiance and add some fun. Friendly staff as well.

Previously reliable property -now looking for the extra $$$
We have stayed at this property 4-5 times, each time with a mostly positive experience. Enough positive that we have returned multiple times. Staff always seem to be highly engaged and are great to work with. Marriott status is always acknowledged and that is appreciated. They recently finished upgrades to their units and they are in great shape. Very comfortable, with new everything. I have been ok with paying a little more for this property than a similar ones nearby, that may cost less, for all of those reasons listed above. Then, this last stay happens. Welcome back! Are you parking a car with us? Ok great, please put this in your window so we know the car belongs to a guest, oh and we now charge 12 dollars a day for parking. 12 dollars A DAY at a Residence inn? Our family is pretty loyal to a location once we find it, but not with a 12 dollar per day parking fee in Hillsborough. Seriously, just scratch my head on that one, especially when the signs around the property say "not responsible for damage or theft"- well, if we are paying to park, I'm guessing perhaps some responsibility may play into that for your property management. Perhaps even a little bone could be thrown for higher level Bonvoy status. I could not imagine staying here for a week, and having to pay 84 dollars to park for a week. We paid 36 for two nights as we had two cars for one of the two nights. Maybe even could have said, we won't charge you for the second car since its just one night. Looks like a money grab, felt like a money grab. It is a money grab. Unfortunately we won't be back, but wish you the best moving forward.

Showing its age. Needs upgraded.
Have stayed at this Residence Inn many times over the last 15 years. It has changed very little. It was taken over by a different company a few years ago and they have not invested or improved. Counts on business fron companies supporting nearby Intel campus. There are other hotels, including another Residence Inn, that are newer and better.

Guests beware! Shame on you Marriott!
The fact is that we love this hotel and visit it almost every year. However, this last time made me so upset that I can't leave it without a protest. They offer free internet and "high speed" internet per 7$ a day You have to be VERY careful not to accidently select the high speed option, Once accidently fell into their trap you are done. You will no longer be offered/required to sign in and you will be charged for the high speed internet for the rest of your stay - without even being notified! Until you make that mistake, you will constantly be required to log in and carefully decline the high speed option. I suspected that my daughter accidently selected the fee option on the first day since we no longer had to sign in, but was not sure. Also, I was sure that in the worst case we will be charged extra for that first day. When heading home and reviewing my bill, I got so upset - we were charged for high speed internet for each and every day of our stay! On top of that you will see bottle of 1L bottles in the rooms. Complementary you might think? wrong! Each bottle will cost you 5$! Looks like Marriott is setting traps for you all over, just waiting for you to accidently make a bad move so they will reach out into your pocket! Is this the way to treat a loyal guest paying over a 1,000$ for a stay? This is just dishonest. Shame on you Marriott! PS - They use COVID as an excuse to stop doing housekeeping, but will they reduce the room charges for the reduced service? Dream on.

Sleepless Stay
This place has a great location and the staff was very nice however that's where it ends. We booked the 2 room/2 bathrooms for our family. The furniture was dirty and subpar. The floors were sticky and dirty. The counters/cabinets were also dirty. The bathroom had hair from a prior guest still in the tub/sink. The smell of the room was a choking stagnant smell it was so bad some were sick. We booked two nights and only stayed one. We would have left immediately however we arrived late and had non-refundable reservations so we left the next morning. I wouldn't recommend. This place needs a serious remodel or to be torn down and start again.
