Family Vacation Stay
We stayed here on a family vacation. Peter, the front desk man, was so helpful in explaining the transportation and sights in Portland. He mapped it out for us. He is the ambassador for Portland! The room was very clean and comfy. The wifi worked well. Parking was very secure. Perfect waffle and yogurt breakfast. We

Great Hotel! Location within walking distance of the Moda Center!
We were pleasantly surprised to find such a nice room so close to the Moda Center. Although the outside of the hotel appears to be a little tired, the inside of the rooms are very comfortable, quiet and updated. Parking is safe and secure, and the manager was very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast in the morning! Would definitely stay here again!

Saggy Smelly Sad
Filthy, smelly, unsafe, risky parking situation, and the softest/saggiest mattress I've ever tried to sleep in. My body was nearly bent in half. It was like trying to get in and out of a hammock. This was anything but a "Quality" experience.

A pleasant stay in Portland close to everything
I’m giving it 5 stars because I’m taking into account the price . Yes it’s an old hotel , but it is kept as clean as possible considering its age . the staff are very friendly and helpful. For example I arrived at 10am and asked if I could leave my bag somewhere until check in time did not expect to get a room , however he was happy to allow me into a room that early and we had a pleasant chat about my stay without him prying too much or talking incessantly. The rooms are very pleasant and well heated for winter . Very close to all the action including the ice hockey stadium, convention centre for the fan expo I am here for , and trains to and from the airport . Luckily I found that option on google maps, it’s not well publicised . it was either 30 mins on a train for $2.80 and a short walk , or 25 mins in an uber for $33!

Stay away!!!
Location was nice, the front desk staff were empathetic, kind, and tried to accommodate. The owner is awful, and disrespectful. We were checked into room 108, went to Monster Jam came back at 9:40 pm. The door to our room wouldn’t open, being as we had two young children we were placed in another room, to get the kids to sleep. Our belongings were still in room 108. The front desk called me around 10:40 pm said the options were after the owner had been at the hotel. we can get into the room in about 2 hours, putting us at 1 am to get into the room with our items. Or we can wait till 9 am and then have a check out of 1 pm instead of the 11am, I asked can it be 8:30 am to get our stuff at the latest. I did go down to the front desk to check in but the owner had left already and NEVER spoke with me leaving the young front desk man to handle communication. I said well we have to go with the second due to the fact I know my child is up at 6 am and 5 hours of sleep doesn’t seem like enough. At 3:45 am I woke up to people screaming in the halls and running. I started to worry people were going to steal our items that were still in the other room. Barely going back to sleep I was up at 6. In the morning I asked the front desk if there was any movement on the situation he said the owner will be there at 9. I was told he wasn’t very informed of the situation but he will look into it. At 8:30 I got a knock on the room we slept in telling me that the room with our stuff was open. I said okay and I asked if he was the manager he said yes. I said I do expect we get compensated for this being as we slept in our clothes and the anxiety it caused and discomfort. He said you’re getting a late check out and you can get your stuff. I said that isn’t enough this should never happen at a hotel, and be allowed to go on for 12 hours. He said well I’m not doing anything I said I’ll call Expedia and choice hotels. He said fine I asked for his district manager he said there isn’t one, I asked for the number of the owner he said there isn’t one. I got our items to the room we slept in. Then went downstairs to have a conversation but once again he had left. The front desk called him, and he then yelled at me how we got our stuff he wasn’t going to do anything. He then accused me I just wanted a free room. No I wanted to have the items I packed with me if I didn’t want my stuff and to feel safe I could’ve slept in my car. When I said the master key is supposed to be on site at all times how he was doing things was illegal he said oh fine sue me. He told me f you and to get the f out of his hotel by 11 am. Then he hung up on me. I promised the kids we’d take them swimming so we do, I take my child back to the room to get ready to leave they turned out key card off couldn’t get into the building so my child is in a wet swimsuit in 40 degree weather. I had to run to the front desk to get the key card on to get our stuff from this hotel and leave. It was the worst most appalling experience I’ve ever had.
